Continuity mistake: When Dwight opens the door and is down on the floor, Ray and Buddy help him. The big machine with the large red letters changes from reading "99:0..." to "00:00:00" then back to the "99:0..." between shots. (01:06:00)
Continuity mistake: About Dwight, the guy in a wheel chair, and his hair. In the scene where he fights the ghost, they change all the time. It starts out as a mess. And then it's in a pony tail. It keeps changing throughout the whole struggling scene. (01:07:07)
Continuity mistake: In the scene after the main female characters portray Charlie's Angels, they go back to where the guy in the wheelchair has set up a pad that Cindy has to lure the ghost into, from one shot to the next (when Cindy goes to lure the ghost) Cindy's lipstick colour changes instantly from red to beige although her clothes stay the same. Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie, after the ghost is defeated, you see far away shots of Buddy, Brenda, and Kathleen Robertson's character standing together. From far away, Kathleen is on the end, and Buddy is in the middle. However, whenever the shot changes to a close-up of the three of them, Kathleen is now in the middle, and Buddy is on the end. Visible crew/equipment: At the end of the film when the bird is pooing on the wall, you can clearly see the pipe leading up to the fake bird which is making it do this. (01:10:15)
Continuity mistake: At the very end, when Cindy meets Hanson at the hot dog stand, look in the background. A guy with a yellow shirt and white trousers walks from right to left twice. (01:10:50)
Visible crew/equipment: At the end of the film when Cindy (Anna Faris) is talking to the hot dog man/housekeeper, you can see her wireless microphone transmitter in one shot, then right after it you can see the wire for the mike running from her shirt to her pants. (01:11:05)
Continuity mistake: After Shorty hits Hanson with his car, Hanson's body flies up and falls back on the road, but if you look through the back window of the car, his body isn't there. (01:11:15)
Continuity mistake: When Cindy and Ray are sitting and conversing in front of their college, you'll notice in one shot a strand of hair is not perfectly tucked behind her ear, and when the show her again it is. This continually changes throughout the scene.
Continuity mistake: In the "exorcist" scene, the collar on Meagen's nightgown disappears and reappears between shots.
Continuity mistake: One of the deleted scenes on the DVD shows the students suggesting ideas while the news reporters on TV discourage these ideas by reporting on strikes and recalls. The recall mentioned all Japanese cars exploding in rain. Cindy's car explodes, but hers is a Volkswagen, which is German.
