The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) - 31 corrections

Directed by Jim Sharman, starring Barry Bostwick, Charles Gray, Christopher Biggins, Meat Loaf, Richard O'Brien, Susan Sarandon, Tim Curry (add more)

Comments made in brackets are corrections from other visitors. As such, any aggressive/abusive corrections (and I get quite a few) written as if they're comments I've made myself will be ignored. To submit your own corrections for mistakes, just click the edit icon under an entry, then choose "correct entry". Some entries have "duplicated entry" after them - these are entries which were already listed on the main page, but were submitted again. I occasionally leave these online for a while, just in case they were moved in error, so don't worry about pointing them out to me.

Entry With seconds to go before the castle takes off like a rocket and disappears, Brad and Janet carry the lame Dr. Scott out the front door. After the house disappears, we see pieces of Dr. Scott's wheelchair among the rubble. Did they really push the wheelchair out the door before getting out themselves, with their lives at stake and almost no time to spare? [If you watch closely, you can see the wheelchair is left at the door and they carry/drag him further away from the blast zone. Did you think that they should leave their great friend and mentor at the mercy of Magenta and Riff Raff, never to see his own home planet again?]
Entry When Frank turns all the characters into statues they all lose their clothes, but Dr. Scott keeps his blanket. [The "magical" Medusa-izer probably decided that the blanket was part of the wheelchair rather than clothing - after all, the seat of the wheelchair is made of something resembling fabric and it didn't go away.]
Entry In the scene just after "There's a Light", when they are talking to Riff Raff at the door, the lightning strikes. You can clearly hear the sound of the thing they use to make the thunder sound. [I think this is an intentionally different sound effect - the rest of the lightning is fairly realistic, this one goes on for a long time and sounds like "Mad Scientist Lab" electronics or ray-guns rather than a fake thunder maker, Brad and Janet look back over their shoulder strangely at the sound while they haven't really reacted to any of the other thunder.]
Entry I am not sure if this only happens only in the DVD, but at the end when all of them are dancing Columbia's boob pops out and she keeps dancing like that. [At 1:17:12-28 (Rose Tints My World), the others are still stone, you can see both her nipples quite well peeking over the top of her bustier, but it's a close up so it's hard to believe it's a "mistake". At 1:24:02-08 (Wild and Untamed Thing), they're all turned to one side, dancing with their arms over their head and jumping up and down, you can see pretty much all of one "side-breast" then they turn the other way and you can see the other, but they don't stay out and it's a very wide shot.]
Entry In the first shot of the dinner scene, we can see there are already wet drink stains on the table, even before the drinks have been poured. Later, we see Riff-Raff and Magenta lazily pouring drinks (into the guests empty glasses)and spilling the juice/wine on the table. How could there be drink stains on the table if the drinks hadn't been poured yet? It's obviously an editing mistake... [The stains, most likely, are from other dinner parties. They might have not cleaned the table cloth, considering how they all lived, that is a strong possibility. There is no editing mistake here.]
Entry During Colombia's solo in Time Warp, she is wearing a large pink bow tie around her neck. But when she goes to get Brad and Janet's clothes from Magenta, she is wearing a studded black collar. [In the background you see her take it off with her jacket.]
Entry During Hot Patootie, Eddy is not wearing suspenders when he's rolling on the ground with Columbia. However, when he's chased into the wine cellar, you can see his red suspenders. [when Eddie is rolling on the floor with Columbia if you look closely you can see the bottoms of his suspenders from under his jacket. Its hard to see, go frame by frame, they are there.]
Entry At the part of the movie when Magenta and Riff Raff are singing the beginning of the Time Warp the clock shows 6:00 (and rings seven times). After the Time Warp they are going onto the elevator and if you listen the clock rings 10 times. No wonder everyone collapses after, they danced for 4 hours, although the song is less than five minutes long. [Welcome to the Castle. Nothing makes sense in the house, the turning of time to 10 o'clock was obviously deliberate on part of the director to add to the craziness. Its not like it actually turned to 10 o'clock because if you listen later on in the film at the end scene Rocky mentions that he is only "7 hours old"]
Entry If you look carefully in the lab scene when Frank-n-Furter is waiting for the "liquid colour" machine to be lowered over Rocky (who is bandaged in the water tank), you can see a cameraman behind the white statue of David. [If you look closely at the beginning of this scene you will see that both Statues of David have speakers on them. What you see in this paticular segment of the scene is the speaker with shadow effects from the lighting. Look closer.]
Entry When Janet is singing to Rocky before they get down to it in his coloured box, she is saying that she is a virgin, but we have just seen her getting it on with Frank in the bedroom (When she thought it was Brad) [She's singing about the beginning of the night, not her present status. The implication of the first verse is that now that she's lost her virginity she wants to keep on going, so to speak.]
Entry During the time warp song, Janet's hair is uncombed, messy and has clips in the front. After the elevator ride to the lab, her hair is more curly, fluffy and without the hair clips. [Janet removes her clips while walking to the elevator, watch closely.]
