Revealing mistake: When RoboCop is covered in flames at the start he walks through a window. Watch carefully, it actually shatters before he walks into it. (00:21:21)

Revealing mistake: When RoboCop storms out of the underground base to the police station, we cut to a scene in the police department. If you watch really closely, nobody actually moves in this scene for about three quarters of a second after the scene starts. People to look out for include the police officer on the far right standing beside a woman in a orange top, (only really noticible in the widescreen version), and the people behind their desks in the background. They are all still or posing, which is amusing to see before they all suddenly come to life. (01:02:14)

Plot hole: Robocop shoots the gun out of the rehab's hand in the motel whilst looking for McDaggett. Seeing as he's not far from McDaggett's room, surely McDaggett would have heard the gunshots and would have gone to investigate, rather then just sit on the bed and chat. (01:06:50)

Continuity mistake: When RoboCop goes back to the underground base, there is a wide shot of him looking around him, and there is nothing on the floor. RoboCop takes 4 steps infront of him and we are then shown a map right at his feet. It wasn't there a second ago. (01:20:13)

Padzter

Continuity mistake: RoboCop bends down to pick up the map at his feet, and he does so by scooping his hand underneath it and lifting it with his thumb and index finger, as it is lying flat on the ground. Yet when the camera angle changes to show RoboCop correcting his posture, the map is now rolled up and he is holding it in his hand, which is now in a fist position. (01:20:22)

Revealing mistake: When RoboCop has his forearm cut off, you can see Robert Burke's arm covered in black material poking out from beind his back. The arm appears again a few times during this scene. (01:21:29)

Padzter

Continuity mistake: Niko would easily have been burned by RoboCop's flight pack when she was hanging off it at the end. It isn't that big and Niko's legs would easily have gone down and past the flame holes. (01:31:33)

Padzter

Plot hole: It seems strange that RoboCop carries Marie out of the building in his arms, and lets Niko, a little girl, hang onto the back of him. When he is flying, it would have took an awful amount of strength to hang onto him, when he is travelling so fast and high in the air. (01:31:33)

Padzter

Plot hole: The opaque red lined map that Otomo retrieves from his first fight is ridiculous. Why would people who know where the hidden base is be carrying around a map on them (which shows a route so basic that they'd have to be brain-dead not to be able to remember it anyway) just so that conveniently one of their enemies can get it?

Continuity mistake: When the two Ninja robots fight, the robot on the left loses his head before the blade strikes.

Revealing mistake: When Robo gets his arm chopped off by Otomo, he stands up and in Robovision, you see that he needs power, but you cannot see Otomo who is supposedly right in front of him.

Other mistake: When Robocop is being repaired by the homeless guys, you can see clearly his stomach going up and down as he breathes. If he's mechanical he shouldn't be breathing, and even if they kept that bit of his innards, he's covered in a titanium shell so we shouldn't be able to see anything moving anyway.

Continuity mistake: When RoboCop chases the van in the pimp's car, there is a view of the car driving without a roof, yet the roof is only blasted off in the next shot, after which we see the now roof-less car again.

Other mistake: Near the end, just before the OCP building explodes, when Robocop flies carrying both girls to get out of the office you can see the wires that make this possible.

Factual error: When Robocop first flies into the the battle at the end of the movie, the whine from his jetpack causes the glass in some windows to blow outwards. Considering the sound waves are hitting the glass from the outside of the windows, they should be blown inwards not outwards.

GalahadFairlight

Continuity mistake: When Otomo cuts off RoboCop's hand, RoboCop easily places his attachment in place of it and continues fighting. But his arm needed to be screwed off, and Otomo made a clean cut, so surely there would be bits of metal, plastic and wires that would have needed moving before RoboCop could put his attachment on?

Padzter

Continuity mistake: Why are there bullet holes all over McDaggett's van when RoboCop is shooting at him? RoboCop has an advanced tracking system, so he never misses. All of his shots should have hit McDaggett, and only 1 or 2 appear to hit him on his bullet proof helmet.

Padzter

Plot hole: When the elevator door sticks, he pushes the thick metal doors outward as though they were made of tinfoil. But when he reaches the room, he shoots out a silhouette in a flimsy wooden door to get in. How stupid. Total waste of ammunition and spoils the surprise factor.

Seitz: Sir, what about our friend Coontz?
Paul McDaggett: Well, if we'd let him live, we'd have to have paid him.

Trivia: At least two of the characters in RoboCop 3 are based on Frank Miller's, (the film's screenwriter), own comic-book creations. 'Otomo' the cyborg samurai, pays homage to his "Ronin" comic about a masterless samurai whose spirit is reanimated with futuristic biotechnology. 'Bertha Washington', CCH Pounder's freedom fighter in the film, is a reference to Martha Washington, the freedom fighter from Miller's "Give Me Liberty."
