Continuity mistake: Jimmy did not have sunglasses on when he and Natasha were running toward the airport. Suddenly, when they got close to the airplane, Jimmy was wearing sunglasses. Also, he was no longer wearing his jean jacket and his shirt was unbuttoned. Earlier in the movie, in the restaurant, Jimmy did have sunglasses hanging from a button hole on the left side of his jean jacket, but the sunglasses usually were not attached there or otherwise visible. Revealing mistake: The "rain" moves with Nina, being heavier (or present) on which side of the screen she is on. Then there is no rain on the street when Nina is off-screen, but it is pouring behind her when she gets inside the building. (00:14:35)
Revealing mistake: Initially, there is a little movement that can be seen in the passenger's side mirror on Juan's car, but it is subsequently reduced to still-frame. Also, the driver's side mirror is tilted upward, showing movement, but not in a typical position to enable viewing of vehicles behind the driver. (00:00:55)
Continuity mistake: During the "Good Afternoon" number, Ferrell and Reynolds are standing in front of horses. They're fairly close to the two. The scene changes and the horses are further away.
Continuity mistake: Stan (Grandpa) gets impaled in his upper left arm by the metal jack part. The front of his jersey's short sleeve is saturated with blood, almost to the orange stripe near his shoulder. Helen goes to see her dad's injury, and Stan's upper shirt sleeve and shoulder are free of blood, but the lower part and his arm are covered. (00:12:09)
Factual error: The film gets basic physics wrong while trying to depict relativity. Buzz Lightyear leaves T'Kani Prime for a trip around its sun, travels with near-light speed, and returns four years later. This could only have happened if T'Kani Prime's sun were at least two lightyears away! It gets more ridiculous. Buzz's last trip takes 26 years, even though he has traveled at faster-than-light speed. Overall, T'Kani Prime is experiencing either a mysterious time slow-down or a rapid orbit expansion.
Other mistake: The crate, which had gaps between the boards, was buried about 8-10' deep, but it was free of dirt when it was being hoisted out of the hole. (01:14:25)
Character mistake: We see the lead driving on the motorway to get to the cottage. She leaves at junction 6 for Princes Risborough. Which means she is on the M40 that goes to Birmingham. When she arrives the host asks about the drive down and mentions the M4. This is a different road entirely, that goes to Swansea.
Continuity mistake: The street view/scenery when Emily is walking down the road outside of her new apartment becomes quite different when the camera shifts to an aerial view (showing more cars and buildings, fewer trees along the right side of the road, and mountains in the distance instead of the nearby ocean). (01:29:09)
Continuity mistake: The clock on the wall behind Carl when he is pushing the wheelchair to Bess' room is at 11:58. After Carl puts Bess into the wheelchair and is pushing her down the hall, the clock is at 11:45 (or, possibly, 9:00). (00:14:08 - 00:15:40)
Continuity mistake: The positions of the two black SUVs relative to the driveway and garage are different when Justin is reviewing the recording and looks at images from opposite sides. In the first view, the SUVs are not pulled up close to the garage doors; the garage is at least a car's length away because it is not visible to the left of the screen. In the second (opposite) view, the SUVs are parked close to the garage and the SUV that is supposed to be parked near the corner of the driveway is further away. (00:25:30)
Continuity mistake: Simi enters the bedroom and the upper half of the bedspread is smooth. Aunt Claudia is holding a book with both hands, so she is not touching the bed. The front (somewhat aerial) view of the bed shows that the upper part of the bedspread has multiple ripples. (00:17:55 - 00:18:42)
Continuity mistake: Banker Mr. Anderson picks up his glasses from the desk and holds them near his face, then picks them up a second time. (00:51:35)
Factual error: While playing soccer in the background, Ali's "credentials" were displayed across the screen. Under "Academics", Ali is listed as "MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL HONORS SOCIETY" - but "Honors" should be singular ("Honor"). It is also odd to state "All 'A' honor roll." With a GPA of 4.3, something to the effect of "Highest Honors with Distinction" would be more likely. [It is possible to receive a "B" in an Advanced Placement course yet have a GPA above 4.0.]. (00:17:00)
Other mistake: Food products used for a snowman's eyes, nose, and mouth (olives, cucumber, and ketchup, respectively) do not stay intact or unchanged over a 1-2 day period, if at all. [The idea is too absurd to categorize as a "deliberate mistake."] (00:48:33 - 00:57:00)
Continuity mistake: The top of Brecken's head was close to (within a few inches of) the headboard before his mother brought the pillow. When his mother put the pillow over his face and the camera shifted to a right-side rear view, the upper part of the bed was raised about 45°. When Lang Dotrice (Brecken's father) arrived and sat on his bed, the pillow used to smother Brecken was at least a foot away from the headboard and Brecken's head (still under the pillow) was about a yard away from the headboard. (00:04:05 - 00:07:16)
Continuity mistake: When The Artist is talking on the phone to Detective Mary Kelly, sometimes his long, wavy hair behind the phone is flat and other times fluffy (extending wider than the phone). (00:14:45)
Continuity mistake: The angle (from diagonal to more horizontal) and appearance (from bloody and jagged to a continuous thin line) of the cut on Zoe's forehead changed within a short amount of time. (00:47:16 - 00:47:43)
Continuity mistake: Ron (dad) brings Amanda her dinner. He carries a bowl approximately centered on a square plate. He quickly sets the plate on the table, so does not have time to adjust the position of the bowl. Ron walks away and the bowl is to the far side of the plate, and there are crackers filling the remaining space on the other side. (00:01:20 - 00:01:57)
Continuity mistake: Although Adeline has her mouth to the ground (eating grass), her head is suddenly upright and still in a few views of Kay or Terry. The most noticeable sudden change in Adeline's head being upright occurs right after Adam hugs her. (00:34:34 - 00:35:00)
