Continuity mistake: When Frankie leaves the restaurant to deal with the policewoman who is just writing a parking ticket it is raining and everyone on the sidewalk is carrying an umbrella, but when the camera angle changes there is not a single umbrella to be seen. And a moment later, after Angelo has been shot, even the sun is shining. (00:08:40)
Continuity mistake: In the scene, at the end, where the girl is running away from the killer, You can see that she is wearing high heels. But when she's climbing the ladder, you can see she is wearing trainers, then high heels again when she's off the ladder.
Factual error: When Johnny Hallyday goes into the bakery to buy bread, the price in the subtitle is translated as 3 francs, rather than 3 euros. At the old exchange rate, 3 francs were the equivalent of about 50 US cents -- not nearly enough for a baguette.
Continuity mistake: In the scene when Justin's father is coming out of the shed dressed as Santa Claus (the second time), the clock next to Justin reads 12:00. When he hears the "Ho Ho Ho" and gets up out of bed to go to his window, the clock says 11:56. (01:15:40)
Factual error: Throughout the film the two men wear modern rubber soled Army boots, not leather soled as they would have been at the time - particularly noticeable when they are trying to sleep in the woods, and also when they cut the telephone wires.
Audio problem: In the scene of the final exam James King is given a hair doll. You hear her say "Ethan, is this a hair doll?" As she is saying that, the camera turns to her and she's not speaking.
Continuity mistake: When the women ride by on horseback in the woods, once they pass the men, they've switched sides. (01:05:38)
Continuity mistake: When Bucum is in the trailer at the beginning of the film, and the woman starts shooting at him with a shotgun, he runs and dives through a window. Before he dived through the window he had his pistol drawn. But when he's flying through the window, you can see it in the holster on his leg.
Continuity mistake: When Owen goes to meet Chloe after she calls and says she needs to discuss their future, he passes by a flower shop with a woman selecting blooms ... several times. (00:47:20)
Deliberate mistake: When the lady is supposedly in the water with the crocodile, you can see that it isn't her. It is actually Steve in a fat suit and wig.
Continuity mistake: Catherine's black notebook and pen suddenly appear on the aeroplane armrest between shots, after her tape player clicks. (00:10:00)
Continuity mistake: When Kermit is in the park looking at his plaque he wipes off all the snow and reads it. In the next shot of him walking to a nearby bench the plaque is covered again but it is not snowing heavily enough to have been covered so fast.
Continuity mistake: When the security guard steals the hitman's bag, he tosses it into his car and takes off. But when the interior shot of the bag being thrown in is shown, it is a leather seat and the floormat has a Thunderbird logo. The security guard was driving a lime green Yugo, not a T-Bird.
Plot hole: When Ray reprimands Barry for having a public (deadly) fight with Freddy, Ray goes back to his car and drives it forward to hint that Barry should take his fight elsewhere. This all happens in the three seconds it takes for Barry to thank Darcy for his help. Ray's car must have already been started, and Ray would have been the fastest man on earth to make that action in the shortest space of time.
Deliberate mistake: When all the thumbs are at the wall saying "I'm the king of the globe" and "I'm a dentist" you cannot see their legs, so that saved some costume work.
Revealing mistake: When Howard Butterworth accidentally sucks a cat up into a Super Sucker vacuum, it is blatantly obvious that the half of the cat hanging out of the machine is a plush cat toy-the "paws" of the toy (which are orange) don't even match the paws of the actual cat (which are white). Continuity mistake: When Candy and Darlene are sitting at the makeup mirror in the hotel visiting, the strap on Darlene's left shoulder disappears and reappears several times.
Continuity mistake: When Joe is chasing Sara near the start, through a revolving door there's a man walking down the corridor from one angle who's not visible from the other side.
Continuity mistake: The train used for the majority of the movie is a standard QR passenger train. However when it hits the limo it has suddenly turned into a freight train, even though its supposed to be the same train.
Factual error: As a college student this has always bothered me. It is impossible for a first year student to apply to a school as prestigious as Columbia University in the MIDDLE of the summer and not only receive admission, but a FULL-RIDE scholarship. A quick check on Columbia's website revealed that the deadline for ALL students was May 15 and most of the scholarships given out come from outside agencies, not the school itself. Even though Ana's teacher said he has a friend up there, there is still no way such strings can be pulled in that short amount of time.
