Continuity mistake: When Christine comes to Dr. Keener's door her hair is parted in the middle. The camera shows her from behind when she walks in, and we can see that the front hair is tied back over the parting, also in the next shot when she sits at the table. Then, after she drinks a glass of water, her hair is loose again. (00:08:10)
Continuity mistake: When Martin shows Tim the alien gum, it's sealed under glass. But when Martin takes out the Venox 7 gum, the cover is gone with no time for it to have been taken off. (00:33:35)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, Natalie Portman and Susan Sarandon are driving down the road. When they are shot from Portman's side of the car, her hair is blowing and Sarandon's window is closed. But when shot from Sarandon's side, Portman's window is closed, her hair isn't blowing anymore and Sarandon's hair is blowing.
Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie, when Portia and Andrew are lying in their "beds," they are holding hands. In all of the far away shots, Andrew's hand is on top, but in the close shots, it is underneath. (01:59:20)
Continuity mistake: Just as the final fight between Luc and Seth is about to begin, three computer panels are shown to display Seth's different approaches to crack the code he requires to survive. While the two LCDs to the left and right have the output of a brute-force algorithm simply guessing all possible combinations for the code, the CRT-monitor in the middle shows Luc's severely injured daughter which Seth offered to heal in exchange for Luc telling him the code. However, if you have a closer look at the screen it states "HEALING COMPLETE" (even with a blinking frame around it), although close-ups of the "Rejuvo-booth program" before (e.g. at 1:08:00) and after (e.g. at 1:09:24) this shot claim it to be "INCOMPLETE". Continuity mistake: When Maggie and Ike are talking outside at the luau, Ike's flower necklace is in a different place every other shot. (01:11:15)
Continuity mistake: After the priest writes down 666 on a piece of paper, he holds it upside down to reveal that it is 999. When we cut back to him a few seconds later, the numbers look completely different. (01:05:40)
Continuity mistake: When Molly ties Tanya's whip around a bar to let herself down from the air duct, you can see as she slides down that the whip is knotted at intervals. But a few moments later, when the severed hand draws the whip back up, you can see that there are no knots in it.
Continuity mistake: When Ernest asks Meenor if she would like to play football, Meenor lines up the football then kicks it through Ernest's window which has a poster on it - the ball forms a hole slightly left of the face in the picture. When Ernest's granddad comes to the window and puts his head in the hole, the hole has now changed to the centre of the face. (00:54:05)
Continuity mistake: When Roberta is in Brian's apartment, she is putting curlers in her hair and then Brian walks in and they start talking. Roberta then stands up and Brian kisses her neck and as she turns around you can see the curlers have disappeared.
Continuity mistake: When Richie is running down the stairs, there's no vomit on left hand, but when he asks for a handshake from the policeman, there is.
Continuity mistake: In the first closeup of the record player, there are albums behind it. In the next shot, Monica is arranging the crab dip and, in the background, there is nothing behind the record player. (00:04:30)
Continuity mistake: As Daisy walks past Slater to see Bobby, her arms are at her sides. In the next shot, her hands are behind her back, clenched together.
Continuity mistake: When the Tigers are coming to bat in the third inning, the announcer says that they have 2 hits so far, but the scoreboard at Yankee stadium just showed them as having 0.
Continuity mistake: While in Central Park, Snowbell the cat loses his collar and falls into a lake. However, before Snowbell returns home he is wearing the collar again.
Continuity mistake: Approximately 9 minutes into the film there is a scene with 'Koop' talking to a customer in the record shop. The camera cuts back and forth between views from either side of the counter. Look carefully at the turntable on the counter and you will see that even while the turntable is not switched on, the deck is in different positions between camera cuts. This is easiest to notice by looking at the angle of the word 'deconstruction' on the blue slipmat. There is even one cut where the turntable's arm is sitting in the middle of the empty slipmat, and in the next cut (and the previous cut), it's on the armrest where it belongs.
Continuity mistake: When he sends her the invitation for the christening, she opens and reads it and its on her desk when her boss walks in. When he's in, she picks it up and opens it again.
Continuity mistake: When Joan first meets with her captains in Orleans, they argue. She walks away and La Hire calls her "a helluva woman". As she walks away, you can see him looking at her. Immediately, she turns back, and he is now looking at the other captains as she walks up to him and belts him. He must have turned his head very quickly, too quickly to be caught on film.
Continuity mistake: When Jay Mohr whispers to Sarah Polley in the 1st third of the film (though you don't see him do it) he is at one side of her, I think the left. When it is repeated later he crosses to the other side of her when he whispers to her.
Continuity mistake: Early into the movie Andy is taking part in a meditation session. There is a wide shot of the whole group, which is seated in four concentric circles. Andy is sitting in the second circle, with two more circles behind him. When the camera angle changes to a front shot on Andy the two people behind him have changed, and the outer circle has disappeared. (00:16:40)
