Plot hole: After Little John bores a hole in the bottom of the treasure box, several gold coins fall through the hole. The four rhinos holding the box should have noticed it becoming lighter.
Plot hole: When Forrest finds out he is receiving the Medal of Honor, he is addressed as PFC Gump (Private First Class, E3). "Two weeks later", he leaves Vietnam, and is then shown receiving the medal from President Johnson. In this scene, he is wearing Sergeant's stripes (E5). There is no indication or mention of him receiving a promotion, let alone two. (01:02:10 - 01:03:05)
Plot hole: Bond doesn't take Grant's watch in 'From Russia with love'. How did he get it, so he could have it in his office?
Plot hole: During the wine cellar scene, Devlin & Huberman are kissing & Sebastian catches them & confronts them. Sebastian then tells Huberman to go to her guests. There is no way that Devlin, who loves Huberman, would not automatically go to Prescott & tell him to immediately pull Huberman from the Sebastian house. Her cover is compromised & her life is in danger! Sebastian saw them both near the wine cellar & will now go to the wine cellar to get the wine (that's why he was down there). He will see that the key is missing. Sebastian is not stupid; he will do the math. If nothing else, Devlin should tell Huberman to not, under any circumstance, put the key back on Sebastian's keyring, since this will prove Huberman's guilt to Sebastian. But neither Prescott nor Devlin say a thing to Huberman (which is understandable in Prescott's case - he doesn't love her - but not Devlin). Devlin is a spy. He should have, & would have, known better.
Plot hole: Roberta asks Jack to drive her car from the port to the casino to smuggle a transmitter through the checkposts. Since her links to the revolution were known to the authorities, and the chances that her car would be checked were much higher than with Jack's (which eventually also happened) it would have made much more sense if he had transported the transmitter in his own car. Plot hole: When Pumpkin is telling Sayuri about Hatsumomo talking to Dr. Crab, she says that she was waiting outside during the conversation, and while she could hear it, she couldn't see them. However, at one point Pumpkin describes a facial expression of Dr. Crab.
Plot hole: Since "Dorothy Michaels" does not exist, she will not have a Social Security number. Even with her agent acting as a go-between, the television production company, her employers, would have to have this for their records. Supplying a false Social Security number is a very serious offense (and is instantly detectable), as is employing someone without one.
Plot hole: Why would Matt sign over the rights to his pictures with Lucy, when he later tells Jenna that he hasn't believed a word Lucy says since High school? (01:15:00)
Plot hole: How could it be that Monty could possibly know exactly that Joe and the ex-wife were driving and where they would be to time that collision perfectly? A bit odd in reality to time a plan like that.
Plot hole: We learn in the film that Cat People must kill a human in order to return to their human form. However, after becoming a cat at the swimming pool and terrorising Alice, Irena becomes human again without making a kill (the only other person at the closed pool is alive and well at the end of the scene - we know Alice has not imagined the presence of the cat because of her shredded clothes). Plot hole: By the time Lloyd gets to the airbridge the plane had already left. The finalisation of the boarding process after last call, plus push back takes at least 15 minutes. Lloyd would have easily caught up to Mary or the plane would have still been there.
Plot hole: Early in the film as Smiley is opening the yard gate to get his taxi out, the scene then cuts to Pintpot on his motor scooter approaching the gates, another taxi passes Pintpot having just come out of the yard, how did this taxi get out of the yard while the gate was shut?
Plot hole: When it's learned that Jonah has taken a flight to New York by himself, the panicked adults never think to contact United Airlines, the New York Police Department, port authorities, airport security, the taxi companies, or the Empire State Building staff to alert them that an unaccompanied minor child is headed their way. Instead, Sam hops on the next flight to NYC to search for Jonah by himself. Considering the many hours Jonah waits on the Empire observation deck alone, it is apparent that none of the above knew he was there.
