Kickin' It

New Jack City - S2-E19

Question: When Carson arrives at the dojo he is friends with everyone except for Jack. But Kim didn't know any of the other kids until Jack because she was a black dragon. How did they all know him?

Meggrundmeier

Answer: Because he was friends with Kim but he went to the same dojo as the other kids that's how he knows both Kim and the other kids.

No, it never said that. Maybe I'm mistaken, but she wasn't cool with anyone from Bobby Wasabi at the alleged time. So if she did know Carson it wasn't like they were friends, more like enemies if they did know each other.

Answer: Kim says Carson taught her to dance, so we can assume they were friends. Even though Kim was a Black Dragon and didn't hang out with the Wasabi kids, she could easily have been friends with Carson since they went to the same school.

Answer: Because Jack came through a wall.

Show generally

Question: Do the actors perform their own stunts on this show? If not, they did a great job of casting look-alikes.

Answer: It depends. If you watch the action scenes in slow motion, you can often tell if it's the actor or a stunt double. Leo Howard seems to do a lot of his own fight scenes and acrobatics while many of the fights and flips by other characters are done by doubles; although occasionally Olivia Holt will perform a simple flip or fight.

Both Leo Howard and Olivia Holt have black belts and completed their own stunts.

Wasabi Warriors - S1-E1

Question: We learn in the "Wasabi Warriors" episode that Kim is a proud member of the Black Dragons; does anybody else wonder why she didn't get involved in the cafeteria fight when she saw her teammates getting beaten up?

Answer: If you noticed, Kim was not sitting with the Black Dragons, so it's safe to assume that she didn't approve of their bullying tactics. She also flashed Jack a smile during the fight, so it's pretty obvious she had no interest in getting involved.

Answer: Probably because Kim had a crush on Jack.

Answer: Because she must have not liked to get in fights or she doesn't like the male black dragons.

Wasabi Forever - S3-E21

Question: In the end it seems like they were going to end the series, saying bye to Rudy and them leaving, being all upset. Why did they try to end it, then start it back up with a different dojo?

Answer: This was intended to be the series finale but it was so popular at the time that a fourth season was added after this episode was filmed. Adjustments had to be made to film the new season including a new set and compensating for missing cast members.

Answer: I think they must've thought Rudy was leaving town for a few years. Either that or they were originally ending the series.

Answer: No, it has not been explained where Eddie went; the characters don't even mention him.

He went to a dancing school.

In the "oh christmas nuts" episode it is implied that he left the dojo because he was not as physically capable as the others.

Answer: The character who plays Jack told everyone that the character who plays Eddie went to go to see her grandmother in England.

Chosen answer: Rudy may have had him wait. Jack was not originally from that dojo so he may have had to spend time working his way back. My school had a 2nd degree black belt come back after a 15 year absence, she has been back for a month and is at the green level; about 1/2 way to black.

But in Episode 2 I believe Jack is wearing a black belt and I think he wore it in 4 so I'm confused.

Answer: He was new so that is why he is a yellow belt.

Show generally

Question: Did Leo Howard actually do all the skateboarding tricks that are in the show or were they stunt doubles?

Answer: Stunt doubles.

New Jack City - S2-E19

Question: If Carson is supposed to be a former member in this episode then how was Kim in the dojo during his time (before Jack). In the pilot we see that Jack is the one to get Kim to join. How does this work?

Answer: Kim and Carson knew each other from school, not karate.

Answer: While Disney did buy the rights to Star Wars before this episode aired, Kylo Ren was introduced after this episode, so it can't be intentional he looked like Ren. Siths often wore helmets and his helmet bears more resemblance to something a Sith Acolyte would wear, or even Darth Revan's helmet. Which were introduced before Kylo Ren.
