Continuity mistake: When John-Boy goes to Sarah's house to pick her up for the double-feature picture show, he tells her mother good morning and we see the shadows being cast outside The House. Later, after the double feature, when John-Boy and Sarah get back to her house in the afternoon, all of the shadows are still being cast in precisely the same direction as that morning, which is impossible. Also, in Sarah's closeup after she gets out of the truck and when John-Boy rushes after her, the white fence's shadow is completely different than the previous and following wideshots. Continuity mistake: When Sarah leaves with Ted in the LaSalle Coupe so they can get married, the mirror attached to the top of the windshield disappears and reappears in some shots during their drive. (00:36:10)

Continuity mistake: After Emily Baldwin makes the lemonade toast, when it cuts to the Walton house John-Boy tells everyone to close their eyes. In Olivia's closeup we can see the wheeled metal legs of the washing machine base between her and Elizabeth, but it's not until three shots later that Ike and John bring the machine in from the porch. Visible crew/equipment: While Esther and Sheriff Bridges are waiting for Zeb and John-Boy to get home, the white tape mark is visible on the floor under the table, where John-Boy will stand a moment later. (00:25:35)

Visible crew/equipment: After Ham gives John the tobacco he stole and lies about paying, when they get into the truck the reflections of some crew members are visible on the windshield as they drive off. (00:25:30)

Other mistake: After the fight, when John walks over to John-Boy, who's at the kitchen sink, and tells him to explain what it's all about, the camera pans a bit too far to the right so we can see the unfinished edge of the cabinet at the right. It's unfinished because the adjacent shorter double cabinet (with a glass door) which should be there is missing in this shot, then that cabinet is back when John-Boy turns around in a following shot. Visible crew/equipment: After the children go off to collect berries while Jim-Bob stays home, when it cuts back to John-Boy and A.J. with the truck, the reflection of the camera operator is visible at the center of the windshield. (00:06:30)
Visible crew/equipment: When John-Boy walks into his home late and explains that A.J. helped him fix the truck, the long white tape mark is visible on the floor at John-Boy's feet, as well as the small white tape mark near Ben's feet. (00:10:55)
The Calling - S7-E2
Revealing mistake: While Mary Frances and Jim-Bob are flying the Cody kite with Sister Scolastica there's an overhead shot from behind the kite, and the lower string goes off toward the right even though the teens are to the left, and the kite is also being held up by a wire at the top which leads off screen. (00:36:05)
Visible crew/equipment: After Corabeth sees Daisy stop for gas and comments about John-Boy, when it cuts to the mill we can see two chalk T-marks on the floor, near Boone and Jim-Bob. (00:09:05)
Visible crew/equipment: When Marcus arrives in his car the first time and walks toward the home, the plastic T-mark is visible on the ground in front of the steps, and there's a chalk T-mark on the porch where Elizabeth stands. (00:06:50)
Visible crew/equipment: After Jim-Bob finishes siphoning the gas out of John's car, when John walks over to the vehicle Jim-Bob tells him he has a surprise for him, and the distinctive shadow of one of the location's large carbon arc lights is visible on the ground behind John. It's seen again after John's comment about mechanics and Jim-Bob's car. (00:33:10)
Continuity mistake: When Mary Ellen tells Olivia that Esther changed her mind about going out, Olivia has a dark ponytail holder in her hair when she walks into Esther's bedroom with the hatbox, but in the next shot as Olivia talks to Esther the ponytail holder is now white. (00:25:10)
Visible crew/equipment: After everyone listens to FDR's address to Congress on the radio, when Verdie knocks on the door Olivia walks over, and just as Olivia opens the door the shadow of the boom mic moves up the wall by the couch. (00:38:20)
Visible crew/equipment: After the shots of Olivia and John singing in the truck, when Mary Ellen wishes her parents were home, in the tracking shot as the camera moves past the vehicle, we can see reflections of equipment and the camera operator wearing a hat. Also, the T-mark (plastic type) is visible on the ground where Mary Ellen stops, before she sees Verdie. (00:14:50)
Visible crew/equipment: When Olivia is on the porch with Jim-Bob, Ben, and Jason, the shadow of the boom mic is moving at the left side of the screen, just as the young men start walking away to do some chores. (00:22:10)

Visible crew/equipment: When Corabeth and Ike check on the Walton kids, as Corabeth gives them the stew, the black T-mark is visible on the floor near Corabeth's feet. (00:26:55)

Continuity mistake: When John gets back from the business trip, in the exterior shot he carries one suitcase up the steps then enters the home, but in the interior shot as he walks inside it's a different suitcase. (00:09:05)

Visible crew/equipment: After Elizabeth shares with Olivia some details of learning to cook with Esther, Olivia tells her daughter that she has come down from her treehouse (a poignant compliment). In the next shot, when John drives up to the home, crew reflections are visible on the vehicle's windows. (00:08:55)

Visible crew/equipment: When John overhears Erin practicing her speech for the soldiers, as he walks into the bedroom the shadow of the boom mic is visible at the top, right corner of the screen. (00:36:45)
