Mistake Plot hole: In the episode "That's my Boy" when they bring Richie home from the hospital, Rob and Laura are living in the house they have for every show. However, in the episode "Where did I come from" when Laura went in to labor, they lived in a different house. They couldn't have moved while Laura was in the hospital.

Mistake Continuity: The buildings seen from the window of Rob's office change in different episodes.

Oh How We Met the Night That We Danced (series 1)

Mistake Other: When Rob is dancing with Laura and is supposed to step on her foot, his foot lands so far away from hers, it doesn't even appear that he stepped on it.

Mistake Plot hole: In this episode Sally asks Rob if he has a brother, Rob says "Yes, but he is married." However his brother Stacy becomes engaged later in the series, in episodes "Stacy Petrie Part 1 and 2."

Mistake Other: The clerical garb that Father Joe wears to his dinner date at the Petries' is more typical of Protestant clergymen than Catholic priests. A Catholic priest's shirt would not have a white circular collar. Rather it would have a black stand-up collar with a small strip of white cloth inserted in the front.

The Ghost of A. Chantz (series 4)

Mistake Factual error: In the scene Laura and Sally are about to go to the bedroom, Buddy and Rob are going to sleep in the living room of the haunted cabin. Rob and Laura tell Buddy and Sally things like how he steals the pillow and he takes all the covers at home. However at home, they sleep in twin beds so they shouldn't know such things. This is true. However, they do have a son. They had to share a bed at least once in their marriage.

Mistake Continuity: When Sally lets Burt into her apartment, her hand is on her forehead and then all of a sudden it's down by her side.

Mistake Factual error: When Rob climbs up the elevator shaft, he comments on how greasy it is, and when he jumps back into the elevator, he wipes his hands on his shirt but not a bit of grease shows on his clean white shirt.

Mistake Other: When Rob dials the radio station, he dials the phone number and then looks it up in the phone book. He covers for himself, and then has a hard time keeping a straight face afterwards.

Mistake Revealing: When Rob is talking on the radio, and says something along the lines of WOFF the station with (then a long pause while he plays a car sound) drive. The On the Air sign goes off before he says drive. He was still on the air.

Mistake Plot hole: Sally Rogers appears on the Stevie Parsons show which is a late night talk show, the next morning she receives letters from as far away as Hawaii... the US mail isn't that fast.

A Day in the Life of Alan Brady (series 5)

Mistake Other: Rob, Sally and Buddy are surprised that Alan has a Yacht, however in the episode "The Ballad of Mary Lou" they spent the day on it.
