Continuity mistake: When Tim goes outside to talk to Wilson, the distinct three-looped straw he used is still standing in his antacid bottle. When he comes back inside, the bottle is on the table where it was, but the straw has disappeared.
Continuity mistake: When Tim stumbles back from the force of the power compactor, he steps in the wet cement behind him. When Al tries to catch his mother's pet turtle before it lands in the wet cement, the spot in the cement where Tim stepped, has refilled itself. (00:15:25)
Brother, Can You Spare A Hot Rod? - S4-E14
Visible crew/equipment: When they're working on the blue car, you can see the reflection of the boom mike in the top and bottom chrome of the windshield. The boom mike itself can also be seen at certain points.
Talk To Me - S4-E20
Continuity mistake: When Jill drops the ball down the vent, there are 4 more balls in the stand. When she drops the second ball, there are only 2 balls in the stand, not 3.
The Long And Winding Road (3) - S8-E27
Continuity mistake: At the end of the episode, when Tim and Jill are cleaning up from the wedding, you can see where the fence was. There is a seam where the two grass carpets meet up, showing obviously artificial grass since the holes are so neat and thin and perfect, with no displaced dirt. You can even see that it is laid down in strips on Wilson's side, with multiple seams running towards the house.
I Was A Teenage Taylor - S6-E7
Visible crew/equipment: When Tim sticks his head in the microwave you can see the darkened soundstage area in the upper left hand corner of the screen. (00:04:23)
Revealing mistake: When Tim gives Jill the framed photo of the two of them on their way to the Doobie Brothers concert, you can tell Tim has just been photoshopped into an existing picture of Patricia Richardson, as he is slightly out of focus despite the fact that they are standing next to each other. (00:13:24)
Revealing mistake: At the end of the episode before Tim opens the front door for Julie Zwicky, you can see the actress' silhouette in the window pane for several moments before she rings the doorbell, showing her to be waiting for her cue.
What a Drag - S7-E16
Other mistake: When Tim and Jill are staking out in Wilson's backyard to see which of their sons hid the marijuana, Jill mentions that it's only 10° outside. However, their breath is never visible throughout the scene.
Continuity mistake: When Brad fell down the stairs and was seen at the doctor's he was shown with his left knee as the injured one. Later episodes show him with the right knee injured.
Groin Pulls - S2-E4
Visible crew/equipment: Towards the end when Tim is testing out of the pulley system talking to Jill, when Jill says "I'm sorry for putting ice down your pants," you can briefly see someone in a blue shirt near Tim's left leg.
The Wood, The Bad And The Hungry - S6-E10
Visible crew/equipment: At the end when Tim is about to open the door to walk back inside after talking to Benny, you can see a shadow of a boom mic on the left corner of the house just left of the door.
I Was A Teenage Taylor - S6-E7
Visible crew/equipment: Towards the end when Brad and Randy are talking to Larry about being shorted money, right when Brad says 'We will go get it,' you can see the shadow of a boom mic on the wall behind Larry.
Other mistake: Heidi turns off the gas, saying that the shutoff valve has to be moved perpendicular to the pipe to shut off the gas, which is correct. But Heidi actually moves it parallel to the pipe, which turns on the gas.

Visible crew/equipment: When Tim is looking at the fake severed head in the microwave, the camera that is mounted inside the microwave is visible before it switches to that camera's point of view.
Visible crew/equipment: While Jill is looking at the TV you can see someone's head behind the entertainment stand. (00:03:15)
Continuity mistake: When Tim and Dave are outside talking about Dave seeing another woman, Tim's Binford sweatshirt changes from clean to having some type of staining on the lettering through out several cuts. It's mainly visible on the B, R and D on Tim's sweatshirt when it switches from clean to stained or dirty.
Answer: No the guy sent in a picture of himself because he thought he looked like Al. So they brought him on the show as his brother.
