Boy Meets World mistake picture

Raging Cory - S5-E12

Continuity mistake: When Shawn is talking about how the time Cory beat up his dad will be a great memory, the half of a cracker he is eating suddenly has another half-sized bite taken out of it and his hand is near his mouth. When the shot changes, the cracker is half-sized again and his hand is several inches away from his face. (00:03:40)

Raging Cory - S5-E12

Continuity mistake: When Jack is sarcastically asking Shawn if his room is where what people throw down the garbage chute ends up, they are standing shoulder to shoulder. When the shot changes, there is now space between them. (00:02:25)

A Very Topanga Christmas - S5-E11

Character mistake: When Cory is talking to Alan in the middle of the night, he mentions that Topanga has been staying with them for less than 8 hours. She arrived during the day time, and then convinced the family to go to Vermont to get a real Christmas tree, which they are cutting down at nighttime, and Eric later expressing after the new tree has been put up and decorated that it was 600 miles round-trip. All of this would take more than 8 hours. Driving from Philadelphia to the southernmost part of Vermont and back again alone would take more than 8 hours.

A Very Topanga Christmas - S5-E11

Other mistake: When Topanga knocks on Cory's door at 3:00 AM, he comes out and expresses that he's always asleep at this time of night. Despite this, he shows no signs of having just been awakened from his sleep. On the contrary, he appears very alert.

A Very Topanga Christmas - S5-E11

Factual error: This episode takes place near and on Christmas, but an establishing shot of the Matthews' house early in the episode shows the trees to still have very green leaves, and outdoor plants and the front lawn are still alive and healthy looking. None of this is possible in winter in Philadelphia.

Boy Meets Real World - S5-E2

Continuity mistake: When Topanga is in the elevator and is saying "We'll just have to let nature take its..." the elevator door completely closes before she can say "course." When the shot changes to Cory saying "Nature take its what?", the door can be seen sliding closed again.

And Then There Was Shawn - S5-E17

Continuity mistake: When Feeny appears in the hall, he has his hands in front of him, and he is holding them. When Shawn touches him on the shoulder and Feeny falls on his knees, his hands are still in the same position, but when he is shown lying on the ground, his arms are now be his sides. Feeny was dead, so there is no way that he could've moved his arms.

Boy Meets Real World - S5-E2

Other mistake: When Cory goes into the apartment and starts to film Shawn and Jack fighting, he is sitting on the coffee table behind them. When what Cory is filming is shown, the camera is facing their sides, not their back. (00:10:47 - 00:11:11)

Starry Night - S5-E20

Factual error: The Starry Night painting that characters look at in the Van Gogh exhibit is mentioned as being the original painting itself. However, if you compare the painting presented in this episode with the real-life painting that is displayed in the Museum of Modern Art, you can see that it is an imitation, as the colors are brighter and the little details in the painting are not as prominent.

Heartbreak Cory - S5-E14

Revealing mistake: When Topanga is picking up the letter off the ground, you can tell the snow isn't real because it doesn't behave like real snow and run together when she scrapes the letter against it. It looks more like shredded paper being swept aside. (00:20:38)

The Eskimo - S5-E13

Character mistake: In the opening scene, Cory remarks that they have been in high school for 4 years and there's nothing left for them to be taught. They began high school in 7th grade and are now midway through their senior year, so they have actually been in high school for 5 and a half years.

Suggested correction: There's a difference between being at the same school and being in high school. For most students, high school is 4-years long (9th-12th grade). When I was in kindergarten, I went to a K-12 school. If I graduated from that school, I wouldn't have said I was in high school for 13 years.

It's openly stated numerous times beginning with season 2 when they are in 7th grade that they are now in high school. The school is even called John Adams High School, and not something like John Adams K-12 or anything like that. I remember being baffled by this growing up, because high school for me did not begin until 9th grade, and even then, we didn't attend an actual high school until 10th grade. It may be unconventional compared to real life, but the show firmly established that they were in high school starting with 7th grade.

Boy Meets Real World - S5-E2

Other mistake: As Wendy is leaving the apartment, she writes her phone number on Shawn's palm and tells him to call her. She only scribbled a few lines on his palm for a second, not nearly enough time to write her entire phone number down.

Me and Mr. Joad - S2-E4

Mr. Feeny: I realise that all you 7th-graders are delicate, adolescent flowers, just beginning your high school blooming. And so I say this with utmost sensitivity: take this test, or die!

Brave New World (2) - S7-E23

Trivia: In the episode when Cory and Topanga are walking through the marriage dorms for the first time, a little boy walks through the hall and says "I see dead people". And in the very last episode the same boy plays Cory's little brother, Joshy.

Janitor Dad - S4-E6

Question: When Chet and Verna are arguing about Chet getting a job, visible in the background is a painting of what I believe is an oak tree on a yellow background. Does anybody know the name and/or artist of this painting? My Grandparents used have a painting similar to it (if not the same one) and it also looks very similar to (and possibly the inspiration for) the cover art for the debut album of the band Days of the New.

Phaneron

Answer: I learned the answer to this one today. It is "Tree of Life" by Garé Barks.
