Continuity mistake: When Elliot is talking to Carla about Paul the clock in the background reads 15:10 but at the end of the conversation it says 15:30 even though the conversation lasted about 20 seconds.
Answer: Dan was drinking beer and Cox feared that Dan might get so intoxicated he would fall asleep and drown in the tub.
