Charmed

Show generally

Question: In the early seasons, the Charmed Ones were able to communicate telepathically but they don't use this ability anymore. Why?

Answer: There was one episode where Piper an Pru cast a spell to hear other people's thoughts. That was the only time they communicated with each other telepathically (just Pru and Piper).

They also had the ability in the episode with the Crone, Leo mentioned that the bond had always been there. Unsure of why it was never displayed again. It could have something to do with them only being able to fully use the ability when their senses were stolen.

Answer: Her name was Jenny when she was the Blonde and Jamie as the brunette.

Dedderbot

Chosen answer: Originally in the very first episode they made reference to the 3 powers being linked. "Timing, feeling, phases of the moon".

Answer: I think it is because they don't have the rights to it. A lot of the songs in episodes on Netflix are different than the originals. For instance, the song playing at the end of Give Me a Sign (Season 2) is different on Netflix than it is on the original episode that airs on TV.

Chosen answer: Because they used the spell Prue developed so the others could use the astral projection power. It was their astral selves and those can't die.

Season 2 generally

Question: In the title sequence for season 2 there is a shot of Prue in Bucklands wearing black and she moves a vase across her desk. Does anybody know what episode it's from?

Answer: It's actually a deleted scene from the Season 2 opener titled "Witch Trial" In the episode, a demon begins reversing the sisters' spells, and this particular scene is Prue testing her own power to make sure it is still active. The scene was cut though, and wasn't in the episode.

Answer: Any real owl would not allow itself to be wrapped in a blanket like that, wounded or not. Granted at times it does look very realistic but it's not.

Answer: There are loads of outtake videos on youtube.

Show generally

Question: There are many instances of these characters manipulating time (i.e. Chris comes back to change the future so Wyatt is good, and there's all that back and forth in the series finale to make things turn out the way they want). Is there ever any explanation given as to why they never manipulated time to go back and prevent Prue from dying? Obviously it was necessary for the production, since Shannen Dougherty left, but is it ever addressed by the characters, plot-wise?

Answer: The witches' time travel spells could never be specific enough. They had to rely on the Source to reverse time more accurately to save Piper and keep magic from being exposed. It's assumed that Chris has the knowledge to go back to the right time. In the series finale you see that Piper has trouble going to the right periods of time (Going back to when Patty was pregnant with Phoebe, going to the future where she's the grandmother when she wanted to get to grams etc.)

Answer: If you take away Shannen Doherty's departure, it was Prue's time to die. Piper and Leo would have put off having a child. Which means Wyatt wouldn't have been born under the Equinox, the Witch's Sabbath and the Northern Lights, thus the prophecy of the twice blessed child being born.

Answer: it is rumored that shannen, Alyssa, and Holly were paid from $30,000-$50,000 an episode for the first 3 seasons. It is also rumored that Alyssa was given up to $80,000 for the other seasons, and Holly was given $60,000. (Not confirmed. Got answers from http://members.aol.com/rexfelis3/faq/faqcast.htm).

Answer: No particular or symbolic reason, but the producers got a lot of flak for not ending this season in the traditional manner, so they decided to open the following season with opening doors.

Answer: This song is Bell, Book & Candle by Eddi Reader.

pinkwafer

Answer: I don't think so. I think it was just the clothes that the show's costume designer picked.

Answer: The theme is a cover of The Smiths' 'How Soon Is Now' by a band called 'Love Spit Love'. The Soundtrack is available if you search around for it.

Answer: I don't know about Oz, but in Britain on Living tv (the cable channel) the song used was "Are you gonna be my girl" by Jet.

Question: So I'm not sure if I understand. Up until Leo was found to be a white lighter, Piper froze him several times. Sorry if this has been addressed before, but was Leo faking being frozen?

Answer: Only witches, or half/part witches eg. Chris, cannot be frozen (if I recall correctly) so, no, Leo was not faking. But that's just my opinion.

Alan Keddie

Answer: Piper can choose specifically not to freeze him if she is freezing other things.

Answer: I've been wondering this forever because he only freezes sometimes and I know she can control who gets frozen but he stopped freezing once they knew he is a white-lighter.

Chosen answer: They took it after they were put into their own worlds.

Question: Leo mentions he was born in 1924 and it's mentioned that he died in 1942. That's 18 years. Supposedly before dying he got married, started medical school and got promoted to corporal how? The time line makes no sense, plus he doesn't look 18 when the girls meet him.

Answer: According to the Charmed Wiki, Leo was attending medical school, when he met his first wife. He was drafted shortly thereafter. Leo could have been an overachiever and entered college at an early age.

Answer: Gith was a Vortex minion, a powerful demon that could create vortexes. Vortexes could send victims, who were mostly witches, to Purgatory. However, in rare cases, the vortexes sucked them into worlds that were fashioned according their desires and dreams.

My Three Witches - S6-E6

Plot hole: When Gith takes the potion from Chris, he ends up stomping on it and shattering the potion bottle - making contact with the potion. We've seen that potions don't have to be thrown by someone who's even a witch for them to work (like when Cole's powers were stripped etc) so why on earth would he do this? And how did it not vanquish him? There are other ways he could have gotten rid of the potion that didn't involve a way that really should have vanquished him.
