Continuity mistake: When everyone is walking in the hallway, Chazz takes out his Ojama Yellow card. He is holding it with two fingers, but when it cuts to a close-up of the card, Chazz's fingers cannot be seen holding it. (00:06:10)
Continuity mistake: When Chazz's brothers are speaking with him in the locker room, in the shot where one brother says "Now it's your turn, bro", there is a yellow bag and blue bag shown in the background. The yellow bag has one strap sticking upwards, and one strap bent to the side, but two shots later, both straps on the yellow bag are sticking upwards. (00:05:13)
Other mistake: When Jaden has Elemental Hero Wildheart attack Chazz directly, Chazz's life points go down to 2100. Chazz's life point count remains this way for a large chunk of the duel, but when Elemental Hero Flame Wingman destroys Armed Dragon LV7, Chazz's life point count is 2800. Technically speaking, Chazz does lose the correct number of life points since his go down to 1600 and there was a 500-point difference between the two monsters, but his life points shouldn't have been listed as 2800. Continuity mistake: After Crowler has thrown the chickens into the other vault, there are chicken feathers spread out on the floor beneath him. Two shots later, the feathers are suddenly closer together. (00:00:57)
Continuity mistake: After Belowski introduces himself to Jaden, Winged Kuriboh comes out of Jaden's deck. When this happens, Jaden's left hand is away from his knee, but when the shot cuts, his left hand is suddenly placed on his knee. (00:04:33)
Continuity mistake: When the hairclip falls out of Blair's hair, it lands on the floor. Next to it is a spell card lying against the side of Zane's bed. Later in the scene, when Zane looks at the hairclip on the floor, the card next to the bed has disappeared. (00:04:40 - 00:05:27)
Continuity mistake: When Zane hands the hairclip back to Blair after the duel, he places it in her right hand. In the next shot, she is holding it with both hands. (00:18:08)
Other mistake: When Jaden switches Oxygeddon to Defence Mode after using Spark Blaster, a display appears which shows the monster's defence points. However, the word ATK (meaning attack points) is shown on the display, even though it should read DEF (defence points) as the monster is currently in Defence Mode. (00:14:56)
The King of the Copycats: Part 1 - S1-E18
Continuity mistake: After Dimitri has beaten Syrus with Yugi's deck, there is a shot where he says "It's good to be the King of Games", he has his right hand scrunched into a fist. When the shot cuts, his right hand is suddenly free and not making a fist. (00:09:33)
Continuity mistake: Whilst everyone is waiting for the sandwich thief to arrive, Jaden and Syrus are playing cards. After Jaden correctly guesses Syrus' card, Syrus says "Picking cards, drawing cards, amazing", and has his right hand ahead of his left hand. When the shot cuts, his left hand is suddenly ahead of his right hand. (00:03:07)
The King of the Copycats: Part 1 - S1-E18
Continuity mistake: When Jaden, Bastion and Chumley regroup after searching for the card thief, in the wide shot, Bastion is standing 45° perpendicular to Jaden. In the next shot, Bastion is suddenly 90° perpendicular to Jaden. (00:09:20)
Continuity mistake: After Jaden realises Blair is a girl, there is a shot of Zane's room from above where Blair starts to run away. In this shot, some of Zane's cards can be seen on the floor after they were dropped. A couple seconds later, when Zane looks at the floor, the cards are now in different positions. (00:04:47)
Continuity mistake: When Chumley runs to the edge of the cliff, in the wide shot when he stops running, Chumley's hands are at his side. He then starts to shout to his father, and his hands are raised to his face. (00:19:26)
Continuity mistake: When Jaden and Syrus run up to Chumley on the cliffside, they stop standing under the shadows from a tree. When the shot cuts, they have jumped a few meters, now standing in the sunlight, right behind Chumley. (00:19:38)
Continuity mistake: When Jaden and Syrus are saying goodbye to Chumley, Jaden extends his hand and Chumley grabs onto it with both his hands. Jaden has his thumb over Chumley's fingers at first, but when the shot cuts, Jaden's hand is completely covered by Chumley's hands. (00:18:39)
Continuity mistake: After Chumley realises the water is shallow, Jaden and Syrus remerge after the raft Syrus builds fall apart. In the shot of them standing up, the log closest to Jaden has a rope wrapped around it twice. When it cuts to a closer shot of Jaden and Syrus, the log next to him only has the rope wrapped around it once. (00:07:57)
Duel and Unusual Punishment - S1-E7
Continuity mistake: After Syrus' life points go down to 2600, Jaden places a card face down. The card is positioned directly behind Elemental Hero Avian. But a minute later, after a brief conversation between Chumley and Alexis, the face down card is now more to the left and is positioned in between Elemental Heroes Avian and Sparkman. (00:09:13 - 00:10:26)
Duel and Unusual Punishment - S1-E7
Continuity mistake: After Chumley returns from Chancellor Shephard's office, in the shot where Jaden says "Well, you did lead us to the cafeteria", Jaden is holding six cards in his hand. The cards are side-by-side, with each card on top of the other. But in the next shot, the second card is suddenly under the first card. He also loses one of the cards in between shots, with there being six cards in the first shot, then five in the next. (00:05:00)
Continuity mistake: Jaden activates the spell card Mirage of Nightmare, and then places two cards face down. Later in the scene, Jaden activates the trap card Mirror Force, so when that leaves the field, only one other card is face down on Jaden's side of the field (not counting Mirage of Nightmare). But a couple of seconds later, when the Shadow Duelist brings Terrorking Archfiend back to the field, Jaden has three face-down cards, even though he should only have one card face down and one card already activated. Revealing mistake: When the duel begins, the Shadow Duelist goes first. He has five cards in his left hand and draws a sixth card from his deck. He then places the sixth card next to the fifth card, and then picks up the fifth card in his hand, but the sixth card remains in the same position, without its position being affected by the fifth card being picked up. (00:12:32)
