Look a bit more closely at the scene in which the USS Oklahoma capsizes, as sailors are falling from the deck, etc. Despite the huge amount of dollars spent the battleship is very out of scale, especially the 14" main battery guns, which look suddenly like props in a high school play. Trivia
The Japanese did not use planes only on 7 December; 5 midget submarines were dispatched to Pearl Harbor as well, though the planes were far more successful. Of the five submarines, two were sunk, a third ran aground and a prisoner was captured, the fourth was damaged and sunk before it could fire even one torpedo, and the fifth submarine's final disposition remains a mystery. Continuity: As the Doolittle Raiders are taking off from the aircraft carrier there are several sweeping views of the carrier task force as the planes fly off. The decks of the carriers are obviously modern US carriers with the landing portion of the flight deck angled out about 25 degrees from the catapult direction of the flight deck.
