Corrected entry: At the start of the episode, the Simpsons celebrate finally paying off their first mortgage. But earlier in "The Computer Wore Menace Shoes", the credit card machine said that Homer was on his fifth mortgage.

Marge vs. the Monorail - S4-E12
Corrected entry: When Lurleen is talking to Kent Brockman, her voice is completely different than how we heard it in "Colonel Homer".
Correction: This is intentional. The hoarse, scratchy voice (along with "I spent last night in a ditch") is supposed to denote how rough her life's been since "Colonel Homer".

Corrected entry: How exactly did the chair from Miss Hoover's classroom get stuck to Homer's backside? There was nothing sticky on the chair when we first saw it.
Correction: His rear end was so fat it got wedged in the seat.

Corrected entry: Lisa says her IQ is 159, but in "Homer's Enemy," we are told it's 156. Lisa hasn't aged in 15 years so it won't have changed. More likely to be writers not remembering what they have said before.
Correction: IQ measurement is not exact, and many factors, such as a person's environment, can affect how well one performs, intellectually speaking, though one's IQ usually hovers around a certain area of the scale. For Lisa to go from 159 to 156 is not unusual (a drop to, say, 136 would be much more cause for concern). She may just have had another test recently.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Krusty is asking the girls questions, he reads off a cue card on what to say, but the problem is Krusty can't read.
Correction: In "Krusty Gets Busted" (season 1), we learn that Krusty can't read; however, this show takes place after that, by which point Krusty has probably learned to read somewhat (the cuecards, at least).

Corrected entry: John is wearing Homer's old bowling shirt which he got at the Goodwill, but at the end of the bowling episode, Mr. Burn's attack hounds tears Homer's "Pin Pals" shirt to shreds. How could John get that shirt at the Goodwill if the hounds tore it up?
