Labyrinth (1986)

Visible crew/equipment: Just after Jareth kicks the furry little creature way up towards the camera, he sings, "Jump, magic, jump..." To his left, when the little guy 'leaps' high into the air, in front of Jareth's throne, the wires attached to both sides of his shoulders are visible. (00:23:55)

Labyrinth mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Sarah angrily goes into Toby's nursery to retrieve Lancelot, as she screams, "I hate you!" to Toby, who is in the crib, the crib's legs are visible and there are NO casters (wheels) attached to the legs. However, in the rest of the shots, whenever visible, there are ball bearing casters on the legs of the crib. (00:06:50)

Labyrinth (1986)

Continuity mistake: When the Junk Lady says, "Well, what about this? This is not junk," as she hands Sarah the music box, Sarah turns in her chair, brings the music box close to look at it and the toys piled behind Sarah are higher than her head. After a close-up of the Junk Lady, in the next shot of Sarah, she is still bringing the music box a bit closer to her as she turns in her chair and the toys piled behind her are now only up to her shoulders. Labyrinth (1986)

Continuity mistake: After Jareth throws the snake at Sarah, the Goblins around the bedroom laugh, and the one at the headboard ducks behind the pillow changing the pillow's position. Yet when Sarah says, "But I have to have my brother back," the pillow is back in the exact same position, with the same creases as before the Goblin moved it. (00:13:35)

Labyrinth (1986)

Continuity mistake: In the park, Sarah begins reciting the lines, "Through dangers untold...beyond the Goblin City..." and her hair in back is pulled up very loosely in her barrette, seen clearly as she speaks. Yet in the shot of her back, when Merlin barks, her hair is twisted perfectly in the barrette. (00:03:20)

Labyrinth (1986)

Continuity mistake: When Sarah approaches the empty crib, the pillow is semi-upright at the corner of the bars behind it and she pulls away the blankets letting most of the mattress show. However, as Jareth's shadow is seen on the floor entering the doorway, the blankets cover more of the mattress and the pillow is now flat and centered. (00:11:20)

Labyrinth (1986)

Other mistake: In Sarah's room, after the close-ups of Lancelot's empty shelf space and of Sarah beginning to say, "Someone..." as she finishes, "..has been in my room again," in this wide shot, while still on her bed until she leaves her room, there is a mark across Sarah's forehead that extends to the left side her eye. It isn't in the previous or following shots. (00:06:40)

Labyrinth (1986)

Trivia: Just after the worm says, "If she had kept on going down that way, she'd gone straight to that castle," there is a wide shot of Sarah in the stone wall maze, and Jareth's "hidden" face is visible on one of the straight stone walls of the maze, at the upper right of the screen. (00:21:55)

Labyrinth (1986)

Continuity mistake: When Jareth first appears at the open bedroom doors, the branches and leaves are seen outside behind him on both sides of the doorway. As he and Sarah start to speak, the shrubbery changes between the following close-ups and semi close-ups of Jareth. (00:12:00)

Labyrinth (1986)

Continuity mistake: Near Toby's crib there is table with a tea/coffee set with cups and other items on it. These things change their positions on the table in different shots. When Sarah holds Toby up high and asks the Goblins to take him away, when Sarah walks into the bedroom and says, "Toby, are you alright?" then when Sarah gasps at seeing the owl. (00:08:55)

Labyrinth (1986)

Continuity mistake: The twin doors in the bedroom fly open, and as a result the curtains are opened and pulled behind each of the doors as the owl flies through. However in the close-up of the owl attacking Sarah the curtains are visible and they are now blowing in front of the open doorway. Then as Jareth's shadow is seen on the rug, it's clear that the curtains are pulled apart by their shadow, which is also the case in the next shot of Jareth standing in the doorway with the curtains indeed pulled behind the doors. Labyrinth (1986)

Revealing mistake: After climbing up the ladder, Hoggle stands up in the large pot, then Sarah climbs out in the foreground and Hoggle is seen raising his body, to climb out of the pot too. However as Sarah lifts her leg out of the pot, Hoggle is seen lowering his body back into the pot. In the next shot he is beside the pot as if he just climbed out. (00:38:00)

Labyrinth (1986)

Revealing mistake: Sarah looks at Hoggle in her vanity mirror and he says, "Well why didn't you say so?" As Sarah starts to stand up it is obvious where the two shots are edited together with her back to the camera, so that at the end of this "one" shot, Sarah's room is filled with her new friends. Her vest's back ties and blouse sleeves are different in the two shots that are edited together as one. (01:35:35)

Continuity mistake: When Sarah is finally back in her room, she sees Ludo, Sir Didymus and Hoggle in the reflection of her vanity mirror. Her white dress that lies on her bed changes position when seen on the real bed, the close-ups in the reflection and the semi close-ups in the reflection. (01:35:00)

Trivia: More shots of Jareth's "hidden" face are visible at the Bog of Eternal Stench. When Hoggle hangs on as Sarah tries to pull him up, he says, "Oh it doesn't matter what it's like. It's a bog of Eternal Stench." In the next wide shot when he yells, "Help!" and then after the stone ground gives way under their feet, in the two wide shots, Jareth's face is on the jagged stone wall at the right of the screen. Labyrinth (1986)

Revealing mistake: Back in her room Sarah puts things away in her vanity drawer, including her music box. The diameter of the music box is greater than the height of the sides of the drawer, which would prevent the drawer from closing properly. On the white front of the vanity table above that drawer, the top lip is cut away to allow for the important shot of Sarah closing the drawer. (00:34:40)

After exploding, the guard then says, "Hey, I just fired you," as the "cannonball" hops around near the cannon yelling, "Ouch, ouch, ouch!" and the wires attached to it are visible. (01:25:30)
