Jurassic Park III (2001)

Corrected entry: The way that Nash dies in the beginning of the movie is almost identical to the way that Quint died in Jaws. (Nash is Quint, The Dinosaur is The Shark, and Mrs Kirby is Chief Brody.)

ShooterMcGavin34

Correction: Nash didnt die from sliding into the dinosaur's mouth. He was only pulled out of the airplane. He died several shots later from having his head chomped on. In Jaws, Quint is directly eaten after sliding into the shark's mouth. Either way, many characters have died from similar circumstances in movies, which doesn't really make this trivia.

The Mask (1994)

Correction: Too obvious. It states that it is her first movie in the beginning credits, right in the movie.

Corrected entry: When Krieger drops the knife into the room William Donloe is just about to come in. When he does he looks up and the vent is back to normal screws and all. They would never have enough time to take the laser stoppers off, put the vent on, and screw it back in. Also if they did do it that quick how did they not make one sound?

ShooterMcGavin34

Correction: That is exactly what they have been trained to do! i think it is fair to assume that these agents will be capable of covering their tracks fairly rapidly and quietly.

Correction: The sound effect is not the laser effect, but the hyperdrive malfunctions on the Millennium Falcon. Actually, this is the other way around: The winding -down sounds are actually made by a gear-driven generator found in most older radial aircraft engines. In this particular case, the seaplane was a 1941 Waco UPF-7, and with planes this old there are no buttons to start the engine; you had to wind the starter up with a crank before you could press the button and start the engine. When the starter is engaged it groans a bit, hence the laser-like sound. There are no sound effects here; this is how a genuine Waco UPF-7 sounds when you start it.

The Simpsons (1989)

Show generally

Corrected entry: Creator Matt Groening's initals were initially in Homer Simpson's hair and ear from the side. Matt Groening says himself (in one of the Simpsons comic book specials) that he changed it because it would be too distracting if the secret ever got out. He also says that he puts them in now only when he is drawing pictures for fans.

ShooterMcGavin34

Correction: Matt groening didnt take the initials from homers hair and ear away for along time, and not for that reason, in fact in one episod Homer shows Lisa how to draw simpsons and he actually says, "and for some strange reason my hair and my ear make up the letters M and G."

Correction: An entry telling who does the voice of who is not really trivia.

Correction: The erection looks to be a strap on, and Jay is just positioning himself with his hands to his side and thrusting his pelvis forward to make look even bigger than it is and to hold his jacket away to keep it from covering the hard on.

Toy Story (1995)

Corrected entry: When the duo is over at Sid's house, and when they are in his bedroom, the kid burns Woody's forehead, causing his forehead to smoke. When Sid leaves, Woody rushes over and dunks his head into this bowl of half-eaten Fruit Loops. Why was there no milk dripping from his face?.

ShooterMcGavin34

Correction: The Fruit Loops have been there for quite some time and have absorbed the milk, hence the noise made by Woody's head when he dunks it in.

Problem Child (1990)

Corrected entry: When Ben Healy starts to go crazy he tries to smother Junior with a pillow. He doesn't get to because the doorbell rings and Junior goes to get it. The funny thing is that he keeps the pillow in his hands when he goes to the door, when they go to eat dinner, and even the next day when he finds out Junior was taken.

ShooterMcGavin34

Correction: Not necessarily a mistake but a character choice, possibly due to the fact the man's gone crazy, maybe he feels better holding on to the pillow.

Double Take (2001)

Corrected entry: When Freddy comes back and hangs up Daryl's phone and asks him if he was talking to Mcgredy he says "He probably told you I was on a 5150 nah its a 1718 I don't even know what it is." Later when they are outside Minty's house he says "They put me on a 5150 because I give a damn." I thought he said it was a 1718?

ShooterMcGavin34

Correction: He was just kidding when he said it was a 1718.

Toy Story (1995)

Correction: Because Buzz was hit by the lamp, which could have caught him off guard. He could've panicked whilst falling from the window, and forgotten that he could fly.

5th Sep 2003

Animal House (1978)

Correction: They do not show him put the plate on the tray, when they show the wide shot you can see the empty plate on the counter and a different full plate on the tray.

Correction: We aren't supposed to hear him hitting the car. The producers were just trying to create a little bit of suspense to give us that "What's going to happen next?" feeling. If we heard Marty hitting the car, the suspense wouldn't exist.

Correction: This is more due to the consistency of Tim Burton's vision than any intentional homage. He does sometimes give references to other movies, but they are more specific and pointed.

Correction: The scarecrow too.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Corrected entry: When we first met Nedry in San Jose Dodgson informs Nedry that he will receive a total of "One-point-five million dollars if he gets all 15 species off the island." Take a closer look at that test tube receptacle. If you look when he is closing the test tube receptacle after he steals the the DNA you can see that there is only enough room for ten species.

ShooterMcGavin34

Correction: The money Nedry receives at the start of the movie is for the five embryos he had supposedly already gotten off the island. He is now getting the remaining ten.

Nedry most certainly did not get five embryos off the island prior to the start of the film. Nedry and Dodson set up a fairly intricate plan in order to get the 15 embryos off the island, it is unfathomable they would need to do this if Nedry had already successfully smuggled 5 viable embryos previously without anyone ever noticing. The mistake is valid and this explanation is completely wrong.

BaconIsMyBFF

Correction: Also, if Nedry had already gotten some OFF, why show him the smuggling device NOW, he could just use whatever method he'd already used, and or just need a replacement shaving cream can with no need to be briefed as to its abilities.

Speed (1994)

Corrected entry: Why is there no evidence of Dennis Hopper blowing himself up in the beginning? You should see blood and body parts if he did blow himself up - wouldn't they reconize there were no blood and body parts on the scene?

ShooterMcGavin34

Correction: Payne says something like he has: "enough dynamite strapped to him to blow a building in half." Since the guy is a former police officer, I think he knows the power of the dynamite strapped to him. Maybe there was enough dynamite there to vapourise him, or maybe he could have placed guts or something in the area to be blown apart, faking his death, and therefore they thought he died.

Reservoir Dogs (1992)

Corrected entry: In the torture scene when Mr. Blonde cuts off the cop's ear, pours gasoline over him, and is about to light it you can see that the flame is lit when Mr. Orange shoots him. Wouldn't it fall into the gas and light him?

ShooterMcGavin34

Correction: If you watch carefully, you'll see that the lighter clicks off as Mr. Blonde drops it.

Corrected entry: When The Cat said "give me five" he holds up his hand, realizes he has four fingers, and said "give me four". If you look at his fingers you can see where they taped his third and fourth fingers together to make his five fingers four fingers. It is very obvious to see that his third finger is bigger then the rest of the fingers.

ShooterMcGavin34

Correction: Look at the original "Cat in the Hat" illustrations in the Dr. Suess book. He has one thick middle finger, two normal sized fingers on each side, and a thumb. It might look fake in the movie, but that's how it looks in the book as well.

Toy Story (1995)

Corrected entry: Woody and Buzz are at Sid's window. Woody is trying to convince the other toys that he and Buzz are friends. Woody is holding Buzz's arm that fell off and swinging it around. But the arm changes from the left hand to the right hand.

ShooterMcGavin34

Correction: Actually, it is always his left arm, it never changes.

Toy Story (1995)

Correction: It is used for the soldiers' mission and the toys probably took it from the mom's room when nobody was around.
