Run Lola Run (1998)

Plot hole: Mannie gives his boss the money in time minus the amount the homeless man used. What's to say he won't come looking for him later upon discovering the amount gone, see Lola's casino winnings, think his employee ripped him off then kill both of them before taking the money?

Suggested correction: The money that the homeless spent is not that significant. He can make up that amount by himself.

Below the Belt (1980)

Other mistake: Rosa and her co-worker couldn't possibly be watching Terrible Tommy as she and Princess War Star enter the arena as the movie starts. Because later on they're shown wrestling in that same arena wearing those same outfits wrestling, a sign that scene was shot at a different time or a part of the wrestling scene where Rosa and another wrestler are watching Tommy.

Rocky IV (1985)

Stupidity: Considering Rocky keeps hitting Drago after the bell sounds to end the round in their main event fight shouldn't he be disqualified?

Rob245

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: This is up to the discretion of the ref. If he deems the strikes to not be particularly egregious he can let the fight continue. Even if they are deemed illegal strikes, that doesn't mean that Rocky will be automatically disqualified. The ref can dock a point from Rocky instead, which he very well might have done at some point which we never see. Since Rocky wins by knockout having a point docked doesn't matter.

Kiss the Girls (1997)

Plot hole: Given that police departments, the FBI, and the CIA do intense screening of potential candidates how did Casanova slip between the cracks? He's clever but surely somebody would've noticed something.

Rob245

Suggested correction: In truth, there have been plenty of real life corrupt cops, and even cops that were secretly serial killers. If they managed to slip through the cracks, then it's not outside of the realm of possibility that Casanova was able to, too. So this is definitely not a mistake.

The Faculty (1998)

Question: Why are the aliens in that town? If they come from a oceanic planet then why not go directly into one of our five or so oceans?

Rob245

Answer: The aliens needed fresh water. All the infected were drinking bottled water. When the gang were examining the slug in the garage, it dried up and died from salt, like a snail.

Answer: Whales and dolphins also lack manipulating appendages and the ability to survive on land.

LorgSkyegon

Answer: The aliens need to infect intelligent life to thrive. There is no intelligent life in our oceans.

BaconIsMyBFF

That is not exactly true. Whales and dolphins are considerably intelligent, arguably near human-level, and live in complex social groups.

raywest

Answer: Well if they need to stay hydrated whales and dolphins make more sense than inhabiting people.

Rob245

Dolphins and whales are also far less numerous. With populations numbering fewer than 10 million total across all species versus nearly 6 billion at the time for humanity.

LorgSkyegon

Answer: It could be the salt or pollution. The aliens were drinking nothing but pure bottled water.

Good answer. Dang all you guys on this site are pretty good at this. I enjoy these answers you give since hardly anybody ever listens to me.

Rob245

Question: Why would April abandon Splinter and the turtles to the sewers? If they were her pets why abandon them? Why not take them home?

Rob245

Answer: She was trying to send them away to save them from the experiments. The first place to search if some experimental animals get lost are the houses of the people that are involved.

Swimfan (2002)

Other mistake: If Madison can't swim then how is she going in the water, up to her shoulders, towards Ben prior to them having sex?

Rob245

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: She trusts Ben will not let her drown and holds on to him, keeping her up.

LorgSkyegon

No if you watch she's several feet in there away from him and the ladder behind her and this is the deep end of the pool.

Rob245

Factual error: One scene shows the elephants bathing. During which you can see a car/van passing behind the trees in the background.

Rob245

Continuity mistake: Liana is barefoot most of the movie yet at the chief's village she's shown wearing black ankle socks.

Rob245

Continuity mistake: When Toxie chases Julie, she comes into the locker room wearing light brown jazz/tap shoes. Once she's looked around then surprised and chased by Toxie, suddenly she's wearing white sneakers. (00:40:40)

Below the Belt (1980)

Other mistake: Tommy's got blood coming from her left nostril even though Rosa only twisted it, she didn't do anything hard enough to cause a nosebleed.

Iron Man 2 (2010)

Continuity mistake: During the first fight between Tony and Ivan he's got his right hand's whip wrapped around him then camera cuts to Ivan and it's suddenly his left hand's whip.

Question: If Aayla Secura's a Jedi Master then why does she wear a skimpy brown leather outfit? She should be dressed more like the other Jedi masters.

Rob245

Answer: In-universe, it is the typical clothing of a Twi'lek female. Jedi are allowed to wear whatever clothing they want, though most choose the robes fitting the ascetic life of a Jedi.

LorgSkyegon

Answer: Several possibilities. There are cultural differences in how the different races dress that may supersede the traditional Jedi uniform. However, and more likely, movies often sexualize women characters by dressing them in skimpy, skin-bearing costumes, even when it is out-of-sync with how others are dressed.

raywest

Answer: Going along with LorgSkyegon's answer, the clothing is common for female Twi'leks. Many Jedi observe a few traditions, customs, etc. of the worlds they came from. Since they are guardians of peace across the galaxy, they need to respect all cultures. It can be helpful for a Jedi to acknowledge their background, especially if they ever need to deal with a situation involving their species/homeworld.

Trivia: The famous Japanese women's tag team The Jumping Bomb Angels appear in the movie as the Dolls' first opponents.

Rob245

Trivia: Called The California Dolls overseas since "All The Marbles" was reportedly an American idiom foreign audiences wouldn't understand. According, either by Frederich or Landon, if they'd done a sequel it would've seen them and their manager Harry go to wrestle in Japan, a popular overseas market for American wrestlers at the time.

Rob245

Trivia: Legendary women's wrestler Mild Burke trained Vicki Frederich and Laurene Landon for the movie. Here she only trained actors while previously she appeared in Below The Belt.
