Scream (1996)

Question: Why didn't Billy and Stu kill Billy's father? They killed Sidney's mother for having an affair with him, which caused Billy's mother to leave town. Why not blame Mr. Loomis also?

Answer: One problem is that they killed Mrs. Prescott the year before, so they were probably 16 or 17 years old. If they had killed Billy's father, after his mother walked out on the family, he might have been required to live with an adult guardian somewhere. It would ruin the plans that he and Stu made.

Answer: In addition, we find out in the third movie, Roman planted the idea in Billy and Stu's mind. Roman didn't care about Hank; he was really after Maureen since she abandoned him and wanted revenge.

30 Days of Night (2007)

Question: Towards the end, when the bald buff vampire fights Eben and the deputy, the deputy eventually tackles the vampire into that chipper machine...yet he can be seen again in the final battle between Eben and the head vampire?

Answer: Copying the answer that was posted in the corrections section: The Vampire tossed into the Muffin-Monster is named Arvin, played by actor Andrew Stehlin. The Vampire in the final scene is named Archibald and played by Tim McLachlan. They look similar due to the prosthetics and CGI used to make the actors look less human, but they are not the same character. You are supposed to use the fact that Archibald wears a black jacket and Arvin wears a grey shirt to differentiate them.

The Grudge (2004)

Question: How does Kayako's body fall from the attic when Peter Kirk opens it, because in certain flashbacks it can bee seen that Takeo places Kayako's body in a corner of the attic?

Answer: This appears to be a film/plot inconsistency and could be submitted as a "movie mistake."

Answer: It never shows Takeo placing Kayako's body in the attic, so he could have placed it close to the opening. The bodies in the corner of the attic are the bodies of Matthew and Jennifer, who were killed by Kayako/Toshio.

Orphan (2009)

Question: When Brenda and Esther were fighting over the bible in the school scene and all the pages were ripped out of it, where were the pictures of the men in the bible? Like did no-one see it?

Answer: If you watch closely, when Esther is carrying the bible (before Daniel knocks it out of her hand), it does look like the pictures are in the pages. However, when the papers scatter, the pictures are not visible on the floor. They were covered by the pile of pages on the floor. The pictures must have been there, or else Esther wouldn't have been panicking to gather all of the pages.
