Corrected entry: They are supposed to be in the state of Illinois when Tammy goes to get Pearl from the nursing home. But all the cars have Kentucky license plates.

Correction: Tammy picks up Pearl from the nursing home at the end of the movie and you can really only see 3 plates after that, all of which are Illinois plates. The only time you see Kentucky plates is when Tammy and Pearl are visiting Lenore in Kentucky, but that's before the nursing home scene.
