Full House (1987)

Ol' Brown Eyes - S4-E15

Corrected entry: At the beginning when DJ Is talking about being In a real rock club for the fundraiser Jesse tells her the smash club is all hers. But he didn't own the smash club yet.

Correction: He's not saying she owns it, he's just saying she has free reign to do what she wants with it. Remember also that Jesse had a close relationship with the Smash Club's original owner, so he could've asked him to rent it out for the fundraiser.

Corrected entry: Why do Picard and crew need to bother having the Baku walk all the way to the caves when the Enterprise could have easily beamed all of them to the caves in just a matter of minutes? Also if Picard and Data had already found the holoship and had complete control over it then why not just go ahead and use it for its intended purpose, transport the people to a safe location until the matter with So'na is over? At the very least the Baku would be safely out of the way and there would be no need to get to the caves.

jbrbbt

Correction: Picard can't use the Enterprise's transporters because he isn't doing this under the auspices of a Starfleet captain. He is doing it as a private citizen, which is why he removed his uniform and pips. They didn't use the holoship because they didn't want to take the Ba'ku off the planet - that would haven't given Ru'Afo license to deploy the collector.

The Misinterpretation Agitation - S8-E7

Corrected entry: When the guys are locked in the basement, the door hinges are on their side. You would think a theoretical physicist, experimental physicist, astrophysicist, and NASA engineer could together figure out to simply take the pins out of the hinges.

Correction: It's not that they couldn't do it. It's that they're in a room full of stuff they find awesome. They're having too much fun to try that hard. They don't care if they get out.

Runaway Jury (2003)

Corrected entry: Near the end when Nick and Marlee give Fitch the copy of the $15 million wire transfer and tell him he must quit or they'll reveal Fitch paid a juror, this doesn't make sense, because if they revealed the money transfer it would cause the verdict to be thrown out because one of the jurors accepted a bribe. Even if Nick isn't identified on the transfer, it still shows someone got paid. Even though the verdict went the other way, it shows the jury was tainted. It would need to be retried with a new jury.

nlamb

Correction: But Fitch would still go to jail. He's not going to risk going to jail to win a case. And Nick and Marlee would still have the money to help out their town.

Greg Dwyer

Corrected entry: When Will and Jack try to escape the execution, the guards surround them and hold them at gunpoint. However, they stand around them in a circle, so if they shot them, they would've all shot each other. Even if they had extremely good aim, they're standing very close to them, so the bullets would've passed through them.

MikeH

Correction: At that range and with the pair completely surrounded, they wouldn't have needed to shoot them. They could easily be recaptured or stabbed with bayonets. Notice that the soldiers are holding their guns in a stabbing stance, not a shooting stance.

Gilligan's Island (1964)

The Hunter - S3-E18

Corrected entry: When Kincaid asks Gilligan if there are other people on the island besides him, Gilligan says "Yeah there's six of us." Kincaid then says to his sidekick, "Seven people on an island and no one knows they're here." How could he have known there's seven people when Gilligan said "there's six of us"?

Correction: He could have thought Gilligan meant six more. Or he could have included himself in that group.

Dirty Dancing (1987)

Corrected entry: When getting dressed for the Shel-drake, Baby definitely has on a Playtex cross your heart old fashioned bra under the low cut pink dress. Later that same night when she goes to his not so great room and he takes off her shirt, she has on a cute lacy low cut bra.

SallyC

Correction: She wasn't getting dressed for the Sheldrake, she was having the dress altered. It was obviously several hours later and she could easily have chosen a different bra to wear after.

Daredevil (2015)

.380 - S2-E11

Corrected entry: When Castle and Karen are in the diner, the waitress comes to refill their coffee, and when she asks if there's anything else, Castle tells her "Ya know, I'm gonna need about as much black coffee as this place'll pump out, so just keep it comin'." The pot that she's filling their cups with is orange, which, in diners all over, is the decaf pot. Not the one you'd use for a customer who ordered black coffee. (00:19:50)

Captain Defenestrator

Correction: Just because it's orange doesn't mean for sure that it's decaf. The regular pot could have broken and they are using a spare orange one for now. Could also easily have been a simple mistake on the part of the diner, using the incorrect pot and not switching it out to avoid washing an extra dish.

Cold Fire - S2-E10

Corrected entry: At the beginning of this episode, we are told it has been 10 months since Voyager was transported to the delta quadrant. However Ensign Wildman is still pregnant at this point in the series and doesn't actually go into labour until series 2 episode 21 (deadlock). She must have been pregnant before boarding Voyager, as her husband is still in the Alpha quadrant. That is one long pregnancy.

Nikki Yates

Correction: Ensign Wildman's husband isn't human, he's Ktarian. Human/Ktarian hybrids gestate approximately 18 months.

Fight Club (1999)

Corrected entry: Bob is only shot once with a handgun, but that one bullet somehow manages to blow half his head off. There's no way one bullet could do that, especially not at that range.

MikeH

Correction: A large caliber handgun could easily make an exit wound that size.

Show generally

Corrected entry: Rita throws her wand down to earth and we see the red ball on the left hand side as it flashes. When the camera cuts out to show the ground falling away, the red part is now on the right.

Ssiscool

Correction: The staff is traveling a quarter million miles. I don't think a half turn is that unlikely. Even if it didn't turn, all that would have to happen is the viewpoint to switch from one side to the other.

Greg Dwyer

Show generally

Corrected entry: Throughout season 1 - 3 the rangers call upon the zords. We then see them all get into their zords. However, when they go for the megazord, we see the saber tooth tiger, Triceratops, Mastodon and T-Rex all combine and form "tank mode." We then see inside the cockpit of the megazord at this stage and all 5 rangers are present. They then switch to battle mode whereby the megazord stands up and the Pterodactyl comes in and joins together creating the shield on the megazord's chest. However, up until the pterodactyl joins the others, Kimberly shouldn't be in the main cockpit as we've seen her in her zord.

Ssiscool

Correction: The Pterodactyl zord sits on the shoulder section of the T-Rex, while in tank mode.

Correction: It's possible, and quite likely, that her Zord has some sort of autopilot. At the very least, that maneuver (which is identical every time) could easily be computerized.

Greg Dwyer

To a degree I agree with the statement above, however, we see Kimberly get into her Zord. How could she then, move to the main Megazord.

Ssiscool

Correction: There is a tunnel system built in so all the rangers can reach the main controls.

Yes there is a tunnel system but Kimberly is seen in her Zord before they merge. So how could she travel down the tunnel before her Zord joins the rest?

Robocop (1987)

Corrected entry: Murphy shoots a guy who pulls a gun twice in the chest. The second bullet passes through him and smashes the TV behind him. But the guy wasn't standing in the right position for the bullet to hit the TV. He should've been standing a little to the left. From where he was standing the bullet would've just hit the wall.

MikeH

Correction: The bullet's trajectory could have changed inside the body by ricocheting off a bone.

Twister (1996)

Corrected entry: At the end, Bill and Jo decide to strap themselves to a pipe with belts. Any kind of weather expert would know that this is probably the most unsafe thing to do as they would obviously be shredded to pieces by debris. Perhaps the safest thing to do in this case would be to lie flat down under the pipes, arm and legs spread out.

Correction: For a small to mid-sized tornado maybe. But this is a tornado that has picked up semi trucks and sent entire houses rolling. Their only chance at this point is to anchor themselves to the ground so they don't get picked up too.

Greg Dwyer

Corrected entry: At the end Quill is standing in front of Ronan doing the dance off, but when he dives for the orb he's coming from Ronan's left with his right hand out. If he was in front of him he should have his left hand out and be diving to his left, not across Ronan.

Correction: Ronan had turned to look at Rocket and Drax and the hammer with the Stone in it was to his right. Quill jumped with his right hand out in order to block Ronan from grabbing it.

Ghostbusters (1984)

Corrected entry: When Peter and Dana meet at the fountain, there is a shot of Nerd-boy sitting on the fountain. Next, Peter tells Dana, "Sigourney, but I like you as an artist." Peter mentions the actress's name, not the character name.

Correction: He doesn't say "Sigourney". He says "It's corny".

Greg Dwyer

Corrected entry: During the attack on Port Royal, Will throws an axe at Jacoby, presumably killing him; he is therefore surprised to see Jacoby alive a short time later. However, Will threw the axe into Jacoby's back, meaning neither ever saw the other's face - there is no reason why either Will or Jacoby would recognize each other when they meet later in the battle.

Texijapi

Correction: Will opened his door just before Jacoby ran by, so he would have seen his face. He also could have recognized his clothing and gear. Jacoby wouldn't necessarily have recognized Will, but he could have looked up after the camera turned.

The Last Castle (2001)

Corrected entry: When the inmates are in formation paying tribute to Cpl. Aguilar, when they are told to fall out they are not told to order arms prior to falling out which is proper procedure when saluting the flag.

Boonesboun

Correction: Given that they aren't soldiers anymore and the fact that saluting is banned, failure to stick to proper procedure doesn't seem unacceptable.

The Last Castle (2001)

Corrected entry: Robert Redford is forced to carry a pile of rocks. When he removes his shirt to reveal battle scars you will notice a cheering inmate to his right holding a wooden cane. This is not possible in a maximum security prison since it could be used as a weapon. (00:38:15)

Correction: There is no prisoner holding a cane in the shot.

The Mummy Returns (2001)

Corrected entry: When Ardeth Bay finally kills Lock-Nah, another enemy is about to shoot Ardeth in the face. But he is saved by Jonathan who is standing right next to him. They then flash to him back up on his sniper position next to his sister. How did he move so quickly?

Correction: Jonathan isn't next to him. He's up on the ridge with Evie. They just zoomed in on him.
