Many actors and actresses have openly admitted that they hated the movies they starred in. If they felt that way, why do they agree to be in them?
Answer: There could be a handful of reasons. Perhaps they entered the project believing it could have been a good movie, but later realised the end product wasn't good or wasn't what they were expecting. Maybe the studio interferes and it goes through reshoots or rewrites. Or maybe they didn't really have that much investment in the project to begin with and were only doing it for the money.
Answer: Another possibility is to try to diversify and/or avoid being stuck in a particular type of role. For example, Daniel Radcliff did not want to be known forever as Harry Potter, so got involved in other types of movies (more adult roles) in order to continue having a career as an actor. (I'm not claiming that he didn't like the new roles - I'm only giving an example of why actors try to move on).
Answer: Because they were contracted by the film company or studio and had to be in the movie whether they wanted to or not. Answer: To expand on the other fine answers, actors will take roles in mediocre movies solely because they need the money. They have to support a lavish lifestyle or their careers have peaked and, no longer being offered plum roles, take any job they can get, often in low-budget horror or mediocre sci-fi movies.
Answer: Some actors will accept almost any role in order to work under a particular well-known/famous director or alongside a superstar, hoping to become better performers via the experiences and, in turn, get better offers in the future. (It doesn't always work out, so there may be regrets).

There was a movie staring Mario Van Peebles. In the movie, he catches a serial killer who, by decision of a jury, is sentenced to death. The man is believed to be dead but, about eight years later, members of the jury are being killed and their deaths match the way that Christian martyrs died. Eventually the truth is discovered. The killer was somehow brought back to life, had his face altered and his memory wiped in hopes of reforming him. Instead, the killer remembers what happened and now wants revenge.

There was a movie with Tom Hanks and Jackie Gleason where they portray father and son. In one scene, they are both at a restaurant when Jackie says that his left foot keeps bothering him. Tom tries to remove his shoe under Jackie's protest but, when he does, he sees that half of Jackie's foot is completely black. The next scene has a doctor tell Tom that half of Jackie's foot had to be amputated.
Answer: The movie in question is Nothing in Common (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091653/). It was made in 1986 and is the only movie where Tom Hanks and Jackie Gleason portray a father and son. This was also Jackie Gleason's final movie before his death in 1987, the following year.

There was a movie that I believe starred the late Bill Bixby. The movie was about a man who had a son and the man married a woman who had a daughter. His son and his new wife's daughter fall in love with each other and one night after coming home he catches them both asleep in his son's bedroom.
Answer: The film you are referring to is a 1986 TV movie called "Sin of Innocence".

I was just wondering, on this MovieMistakes website, what film has the most "Visible Crew/Equipment" mistakes listed? Is there someway you may find out for me please. Thanks very much.
Chosen answer: There is a method that can figure out what film has the most visible crew/equipment mistakes. This can be done by clicking the "Top pages" button in the top left corner next to the "Movie Mistakes" logo, scrolling down to "Most movie mistakes" and clicking on it. You are then given a list of the movies with the most mistakes of all time. Above the list of the most mistakes are five options: MOST - GENRE - MOVIE - MISTAKES - YEAR. Click on MISTAKES and some options will appear. Scroll right down to the bottom and there is an option that says "VISIBLE CREW/EQUIPMENT". Click on that and the top 30 films with the most visible/crew equipment mistakes will appear. If you are interested, the film with the most visible crew/equipment mistakes is Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl with a visible crew/equipment mistake count of 42!

Answer: You're probably thinking of "Ice Castles," starring Lynn-Holly Johnson and Robby Benson. The look alikes to Olivia and Keanu. There is a remake but don't know who is in the cast.
