Other mistake: Before Becky and Miles go down the steps after leaving his office she says "I've been in Reno". The camera goes totally out of focus for a second right when she says, "Reno" the second time. (00:07:10)

Other mistake: A shiny snap on the Lion's left foot can be seen gleaming in the stage lights as he says, "I hope my strength holds out" on the side of the mountain. (01:20:05)

Other mistake: As Glinda walks over to meet Dorothy, the bridge is the same but the background behind her changes between shots. (00:21:30)

Other mistake: As they walk through the forest in the shot before Dorothy says, "I don't like this forest" there are some cool digital glitches in the lower left hand corner of the screen which look like a strand of blue Christmas lights blinking on and off. Other mistake: In the poppy field the tin man has hardly any of that artificial snow on him because the asbestos used didn't stick to the metal like real snow. (00:56:55)

Other mistake: Lieutenant Colonel Kilgore says, "You smell that? Do you smell that? …I love the smell of Napalm in the morning", right after the jet attack and there's no indication that his character isn't smelling exactly what he says he is. There's no way he could possibly smell Napalm in the ten seconds of uninterrupted movie time that has elapsed from the attack. The explosion is several hundred yards away and looking at the smoke canisters, quite a brisk wind is blowing all the smoke away from them and not in their direction. (00:49:15)

Other mistake: In the close-up as the Wicked Witch pets him, Toto, who has been referred to as a "he" throughout the movie appears to be a she. In actuality, Toto is a female Cairn terrier. (01:16:05)

Other mistake: In the first shot of the movie we see Dorothy and Toto running home. Several shots later when we first meet Hunk, Zeke and Hickory we see the exact same background spot used again behind them. Dorothy was also running in the wrong direction. (00:03:05)

Other mistake: The Witch's castle is shown twice, the first time is in the beginning of the scene when Dorothy is held in her room, and the second time is when Toto brings the three back to rescue her. Each time the painting is almost exact, even down to the lights in the windows of the castle. The only thing that changes is the walk way up to the castle, which is entirely different each time. Other mistake: Earlier in the movie, at Geiger's house, Marlowe calls Chief Insp. Bernie Ohls of the District Attorney's Office, and the six digits of Bernie's phone number are 122-145. At the very end of the movie, he's with Lauren Bacall at Geiger's house and again calls Bernie Ohls. This time he dials the same phone at the DA's office but leaves off one digit, calling 12-145. Other mistake: Marlowe fires several shots at Art Huck and Lash Canino but if you look at the chamber when he takes the gun out from under the dashboard, there are no bullets in it. (01:41:45)

Other mistake: Marlowe tells Lauren Bacall to start screaming in 20 seconds after he leaves the room, she does and Lash Canino is outside and hears her. He runs into the house and if you look closely the prop porch railing almost falls over as he runs by because the crew did not attach it properly. Later we see it again and it's attached properly. Other mistake: Marlowe calls Bernie Ohls at the District Attorney's Office who says to him, "That would come under the heading of police business". The close captioning is wrong here and just says "that's police business". (01:00:20)

Other mistake: Joe Brody trips Carmen Sternwood as she walks through his door holding a gun on him and the cameraman totally loses focus in the close up of her legs. (00:52:00)

Other mistake: Guy goes to the closet and gets Hutch's coat as he's about to leave after having coffee with Rosemary. If you look at her she looks ghostly as they applied more makeup to her face between shots. Unfortunately they missed some spots around her eyes and on her forehead. (01:06:50)

Other mistake: As they travail to The Pentagon in Washington, Carol and Dr. Marvin sit in the exact same mock-up of an airplane's interior that we saw earlier in the movie when a UFO passes in front of it. (00:00:45 - 00:27:00)

Other mistake: Detectives Dundy and Polhaus visit Bogart at 3:40 in the middle of the night as we see the time on his alarm clock after they walk in. In the previous shot it's impossible to tell what time it is time because there are no hands on the clock. (00:11:10)

Other mistake: The first time we see George Loomis back at the Rainbow Cabins after his supposed death he's by the garbage cans in the back of cabin B with a brick wall on the left. The next time we see him two shots later the film has been reversed with the brick wall now being on the right. (00:46:45)

Other mistake: The Cutler's now occupy cabin B at the Rainbow Cabins and just before we see George Loomis by the garbage cans in the back of the cabin Polly decides to take a nap. When she gets up from the bed to close the Venetian blinds we see the pillow case and it's white, but two shots later after the blinds are closed she lays down again and the pillow case has a huge dark make up stain on it from several previous takes. (00:46:20)
