Factual error: 40 minutes into the movie and we are shown an aerial shot of New Orleans. Then we see the scene where Cuba Gooding Jr. pulls up in a New Orleans cab outside of a skyscraper. The only problem is, the skyscraper is the Library Tower, which is situated in downtown Los Angeles.
Continuity: When Cuba is in the police station for questioning, Billy Ray walks in. He says something like "It's about your book" and Cuba says "What about it?" The camera cuts back to Billy Ray who has now moved to the left.
Continuity: When Cuba Gooding Jr. is sitting across the chess board from the detective the amount of cigarette smoke in the air keeps changing.
