Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1

Corrected entry: When Harry is looking through the files in Umbridge's office, he pauses at Dumbledore's profile. The file claims that Dumbledore's blood status is "Half-Blood," but he is in fact a "Pure Blood", because his father was a wizard and his mother was a witch.

Correction: That does not make him a "pure-blood." If you recall, Harry's father was a wizard and his mother a witch, but Harry is considered a "half-blood" because Lily Potter's parents were non-magical. The same may be true about Dumbledore's lineage. If either his witch mother or wizard father was muggle-born, or they had a parent who was, then he would indeed be a "half-blood." A wizard has to have a long (and in-bred) history of only magical ancestors to be considered "pure-blood."

Corrected entry: Before the wedding, Ginny asks Harry to zip up her dress, which he does. When the camera zooms out, the zipper is not all the way up, but when she turns to look at her older brother, it is all the way up.

samx5453

Correction: Harry zips the dress all the way up right from the start, and it is all the way up the whole time. Also, the camera doesn't zoom out at any point in that scene.

Corrected entry: Throughout the film, the length of Hermione's hair changes drastically. There are times when she has short crunched hair (above shoulder length), other times when she has a very long pony tail (five or six inches below the shoulder, and there are scenes when Hermione's hair is down and in between these two lengths (an inch or two below the shoulder).

SublimeLily

Correction: Sometimes her hair is straight and sometimes it is curly. This can make a huge difference in the length of a person's hair.

kristenlouise3

Corrected entry: Throughout the movie, every character but Harry incorrectly refers to the Weasley residence as "The Burrows". It is actually called "The Burrow", as Harry says in the cafe scene, and as stated in Chamber of Secrets.

Correction: Considering how easy it is for people in real life to accidentally add an "S" to the end of the word, as there are many instances where an "S" is added to a word grammarly, it's not unlikely this would happen with the real characters. Perfectly reasonable character mishaps over grammar are hardly mistakes as we can't expect imperfect characters to be perfect solely because it's a movie.

Continuity mistake: In the second to last shot, where Lord Voldemort is drawing the Elder Wand out of Dumbledore's hands, and then thrusts the wand into the air, Lord Voldemort's arm has hair on it. In the book, he is described as completely hairless, and in every other shot in every other movie, they have been careful to remain true to this.

Question: Why is it necessary for Draco to confirm that the real Harry has been captured by the bounty hunters? Lucius and Bellatrix have each dealt with Harry before.

Answer: Lucius and Bellatrix were unable to confirm Harry's identity because Hermione had jinxed his face to disguise him just before the snatchers captured them. They are fairly certain it is Harry, but as Bellatrix says, if they summon Lord Voldemort, and they are wrong, he will kill them all. Of all the Death Eaters at Malfoy Hall, no one knows Harry better than Draco, having spent more time with him because they were schoolmates. Lucius and Bellatrix have to be absolutely sure that this is Harry Potter.
