Continuity mistake: Ash throws the fork at mini-Ash with the points vertical, but it flies and lands with the points horizontal. (00:32:55)

Phoenix

Continuity mistake: The mini-Ashes dump a bucket on Ash's head. First the bucket comes down to his chin, then it covers his chin, then it comes down to his nose, then to his mouth, all in a rapid succession of shots. (00:33:40)

Phoenix

Revealing mistake: In the windmill, Ash slips and flips into a handstand. The harness can be seen pulling away from his butt. (00:33:50)

Phoenix

Other mistake: When Ash is splitting into his two halves, he backs into a huge tree and it moves. The tree moves again a few minutes later when bad Ash is shot and flies into it. (00:37:45 - 00:39:00)

Visible crew/equipment: Before Sheila gets captured by the winged demon, as it is flying, you can see the what looks like a smaller winged demon behind it which is the crane holding it up or a problem with the film. (00:46:36)

Continuity mistake: When Ash is driving his modified car crushing skeletons and such, a skeleton jumps on the side of his car. Ash shoots him with his shotgun and A) the shot from the shotgun is it front of the skeleton (not hitting him), and B) when he says "Bye Bye", his mouth does not move. (01:01:22)

Continuity mistake: After Evil Ash is killed and Sheila is knocked to the ground, there is a close-up of her beautifully made-up face and coifed hair. Then Ash helps her up and she is grimy and disheveled and sweaty again. (01:24:20)

Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where the deadites are invading the drawbridge, a person gets slashed by a guy on a horse. When he falls, if you look quickly enough you can see the end of an airbag come up under the bridge.

Deliberate mistake: Ash's car breaks out into the courtyard and the whirling, windmill thing batters the Deadites aside. We see the carnage a couple of times filmed from different angles, one Deadite, planted, legs apart, gets battered twice and the guys who come in from the left and are quickly jerked off screen are shown again seconds later.

Phillip Churchfield

Continuity mistake: In the shot where Arthur's men have just started the spiked walls moving in the pit, Ash looks at the walls intensely. In this shot, if you have the full screen version on, you can see that his chainsaw is attached to his hand. They use that same shot later on right before he charges over to climb the wall.

Video

Continuity mistake: When Ash confronts Bad Ash, Ash has his original right hand even though it should be replaced with a metal gauntlet.

Continuity mistake: When Ash is in the pit and the spiked walls start moving inwards, how far apart the walls are keeps changing but not in a logical order until he crawls out of the pit.

Sandallia

Continuity mistake: Ash's hairstyle varies throughout the film. The scene where he get the Necronomicon is the most obvious because in that scene he has very bushy hair.

Continuity mistake: When the Mini-Ashes have Ash tied up and are holding his nose shut (so he'll open his mouth), when the scene briefly cuts to a POV shot from the one Mini-Ash that's performing the dive into Ash's mouth, the other two now suddenly have switched to holding Ash's mouth open with their hands, then immediately the scene cuts back to Ash opening his mouth (again) and the two Mini-Ashes are now holding his nose shut.

Revealing mistake: In the pit, Ash uses his chainsaw to cut off the second monster's hand. In the shot from above where the hand is going up, the monster still has both of his hands.

Other mistake: When Ash is separating into two (good and evil) Evil Ash is growing on his right side which is the same side as his "gauntlet" hand so the Evil version should have it, not Good Ash.

Deliberate mistake: During the final battle, when Ash is driving around in his car with the giant fan mounted to the front mowing down enemies, some of the evil skeletons he runs into aren't moving at all for several seconds before being hit. This reveals that the were just props designed and set-up to be run over for the effect. Additionally, the first two sets of skeletons he chops up in the fan are the exact same skeletons shot from different angles. (You can tell from the distinct way the one skeleton's arm comes off and ends up on the car's front).

TedStixon

Other mistake: You can see that Ash is without his shotgun after being captured by the knights, even when he's thrown into the pit. However, it appears out of nowhere when he is prompted to shoot Arthur's sword. The only weapon that we saw returned to him was the chainsaw when the wise man tossed it down to him.

Factual error: After coming out of the pit, Ash gets three shots out of a double barrel shotgun. There was a sound of cocking when the shotgun has to be cracked open to re-load.

Movie Nut

Duke Henry: I am Henry the Red, Duke of Shale, Lord of the Northlands and leader of its people.
Ash: Well hellooo Mister Fancypants. I've got news for you pal, you ain't leading but two things right now: Jack and shit... And Jack just left town.

Trivia: The disbelieving clerk Ash is explaining his adventure to in the S-Mart ending is Ted Raimi, who can also be seen in the crowd below the castle battlements receiving Ash's pep-talk just before the battle with Bad Ash's Army of Darkness. Ted is director Sam Raimi's brother--and is best known for his part as Joxer in the Hercules and Xena TV shows (of which brother Sam was executive producer) where he again worked with Bruce Campbell.
