Factual error: In the scene where Ted Bundy is being led into the courthouse in Tallahassee, the traffic in the background shows many vehicles much newer than 1978 models, which is the time period the scene is set. Most of the visible passing vehicles are from at least the mid 1990s.
Factual error: At the beginning of the movie, which is supposed to be taking place in 1974 at this point, there is an exterior shot of a police building, with two police cars out front (one with an officer exiting the car) that are about 20 years newer than 1974.
