Continuity mistake: During the car chase in the beginning, we see that the driver's side mirror is gone, then back, then gone again. Later after exiting the scene, we see the taxi leaving with both side mirrors on it.
Tia: My brother and I, we're not from your planet.
Jack Bruno: Well, you don't look like aliens.
Tia: What's an alien look like?
Jack Bruno: You know what aliens look like! They're like little green people with antennas, and "Take me to your leader, Earthlings!"
Trivia: In both this movie and Escape to Witch Mountain, the kids are transported to Witch Mountain in a Winnebago.
