In the typhoon, Patricia is knocked off the Tweedle Dee and submerged in the ocean. Joe rescues her from drowning and they spend several days on the raft, during which Patricia is unconscious or asleep. When next we see her, she is rousing Joe from his delirium. How could her hair now be so perfect? [While floating on the "trunk raft" Joe is shown shaving among many other things. It would stand to reason that he brushed or combed Patricia's hair in his boredom.]
