Continuity: The Sherman gets stuck just before the Tennessee state line. Right after Buelton announces that Zack, Billy and Sarah can sweat out the afternoon sun inside the tank, the scene changes to a view of a bright sun in a blue and cloudless sky. Before and after that, though, the sky is thoroughly overcast, with no break in the cloud cover to let the sun through in the first place.
Continuity: While the tank is crushing the Sheriff's office, the antenna and machine gun rack on the gun turret disappear, then reappear.
Continuity: Sgt. Maj.. Carey strikes deputy Baker in the bar. The bruises/cuts on his (Baker's) face change between shots.
Continuity: When Sgt. Maj. Carey and General Hubik are riding in the jeep, Carey's hands are at the 9 and 3 o'clock positions on the steering wheel. In the next shot his hands are in the 12 and 3 position, then back to 9 and 3.
Continuity: The dodge truck that gets blown up on the county farm is not the same as the one the deputies are driving. The "Dodge" emblem is missing and the mud pattern is different.
Factual error: When the crowd and sheriff are waiting at the GA/TN state line we see a road sign that says GA. Hwy 16. GA. Hwy 16 runs east to west (Tennesee is north of Georgia) and is approximately 150 miles south of the state line.
