Continuity: Before the piano gets thrown overboard Ada holds her hand into the water. In close up the water is perfectly still while in all wider shots it's quite choppy. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Continuity: When Stewart has a heated argument with a group of Maoris over some land deal, a guy with two feathers in his hair appears in front of him between shots. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Factual error: After its trip over the ocean on which it got soaked with moisture the piano is amazingly well in tune, only later, at Baines' place, it sounds a little bit off. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Continuity: The rope that pulls Ada down is much longer than the one that ties her shoe to the piano when it's sitting on the ground. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Revealing: When Ada and Baines leave the island the Maoris pull the heavy canoe with the piano on top across the beach into the water. From the tracks in the sand you can tell that it runs on wheels. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Continuity: In one of the piano lessons Baines asks Ada to take her dress off. When she wants to leave he holds her back, pulls her blouse down and tears it in the back. When she gets up later the blouse is whole again. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Continuity: When Baines has his first 'piano lesson' Flora asks to be allowed in. Ada declines, and when she goes back in the house her playing starts immediately when she closes the door, way before she could have walked to the piano and sat down. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Continuity: When Baines takes Ada and Flora to the shore the girl builds a beautifully decorated sandcastle. To do this she had to work from all around, but on one side the sand is pristine (and the sea is too far to have straightened it out). Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Continuity: The stains on Stewart's top hat have a different pattern when he reaches the shore where Ada and Flora are waiting. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Other: When Ada and Baines make love and Stewart peeps through a crack in the wall he puts his ear to the wood, not his eye. Submitted by Nancy<>Felix
Continuity: When Stewart discovers Ada tried to send a message to Baines and bursts into the house, the view from inside the house shows a clear day outside. When he drags her out, it's now raining heavily. Submitted by ChiChi
