Mistake Continuity: When Ernest first meets the "second chance boys", the boy with the yellow shirt's sunglasses disappear and reappear between shots.

Mistake Continuity: During the scene when Ernest is driving the bus "blind," the type of bus changes from a Ford to an International.

Mistake Continuity: When the group is sitting around the camp fire, watch Moose's jacket. In the first shot it's on, then off, then on again.

Mistake Continuity: When fighting the construction worker, Ernest's hat flies off. In the next shot the hat is suddenly back on his head.

Mistake Other: During the last scenes where Krader is shown shooting his rifle, we hear the blast of the rifle and see him pull the trigger, yet there is no recoil (kick) from the rifle at all. It is very obvious that the actor is not shooting the rifle.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: Right before the scene with Ernest playing poker with the Second Chance Boys ends, the camera zooms out and you can see a member of the crew standing next to a tree on the left.

Mistake Continuity: In the opening scene where Ernest is driving around the camp, he runs over both a trashcan and a tent. A few seconds later in another shot, if you look closely in the background, the tent is standing back up. It is the same tent because the trashcan is still knocked over.
