Continuity mistake: When Grams Bear steps over to ask Grumpy about Hugs and Tugs' whereabouts, she stands on a rainbow ramp - colored yellow, orange and red. Once they walk away to search, Hugs and Tugs enter the scene sliding down the ramp, which has suddenly changed colors to green, yellow and orange. (00:10:25)
Continuity mistake: As Grams and Grumpy Bear walk away to search for Baby Hugs and Tugs, Grumpy pushes his heart-shaped creeper underneath the rainbow rescue beam. By the time Baby Tugs walks over and activates the beam, the creeper has disappeared. (00:10:35)
Continuity mistake: When Baby Tugs reaches out and touches the rainbow rescue beam's buttons to see if they'll make square bubbles, he's initially seen reaching out with his right hand. In the next shot we see Tugs' left hand pushing the buttons. (00:11:05)
Continuity mistake: When Baby Tugs activates the rainbow rescue beam, all of the different buttons start flashing. The next shots bring a heart-shaped structure into view and at this point, the buttons briefly stop flashing; but they resume as soon as Grumpy intervenes to shut down the beam. (00:11:15)
Continuity mistake: When Baby Hugs and Tugs are standing by the rainbow rescue beam's control panel watching the platform, notice how the heart floor tiles are quite large. In fact, the control panel and each baby cub are able to fit on just one of them. But when Grumpy Bear runs over to the panel and starts pressing buttons a moment later, all of the tiles have now shrunk considerably in size. (00:11:30)
Continuity mistake: When Kim and Jason first arrive in Care-A-Lot and they are still standing on the rainbow rescue platform, with Secret Bear and Friendship Bear. One shot shows Sunshine Bear standing next to Jason, instead of Friendship Bear, then in the very next shot Sunshine Bear is now right in front of Jason, talking to him. (00:11:45)
Continuity mistake: After the rainbow rescue beam transports Kim, Jason, Secret Bear and Friend Bear to Care-a-Lot, many onlookers appear to be stunned. At this point, Cheer Bear says "Oh my stars!" Notice how one of her tummy symbol's rainbow stripes is dark blue. In the following shot, however, a light blue stripe appears instead. (00:11:45)
Continuity mistake: After the rainbow rescue beam transports Kim, Jason, Secret Bear and Friend Bear to the Hall of Hearts, several Care Bears are pictured just standing in awe. On the left is Champ Bear. His tummy symbol consists of a trophy with a small red heart in the center. Towards the end of "Nobody Cares Like a Bear," Champ is blowing bubbles with two other Care Bears, but in this shot his trophy is drawn without a heart. (00:11:50 - 00:14:25)
Continuity mistake: After Hugs and Tugs toy with the rainbow rescue beam, it accidentally transports Kim, Jason, Secret Bear and Friend Bear to the Hall of Hearts. Friend Bear is standing on the platform right behind Jason's left hand as she begins talking to the other Care Bears. In the following shot she says, "Someone brought us here!" but is now standing in front of Jason. (00:11:55)
Continuity mistake: In "Nobody Cares Like a Bear," Secret Bear is sporting a blue tuxedo adorned with a small white flower near his left collar. Roughly halfway through the song he slides down a rainbow, landing face-first in the clouds. But once he's pulled free, the flower is suddenly missing - only to reappear in the next shot when he's carried away by a balloon. (00:12:40 - 00:14:00)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Kim and Jason are inside the Hall of Hearts being taken on a tour of Care-a-Lot, Secret Bear leads the way sporting a top hat and carrying a cane. When he pops his hat into the air, notice how the cane's handle is facing different directions in alternating shots. All the while, several other Care Bears are lined up watching. Note that Share and Champ Bear are standing beside each other. However, Cheer Bear briefly appears in Share Bear's place right before everyone proceeds outside. (00:12:45)
Continuity mistake: When Secret Bear is leading Kim and Jason on a tour of Care-a-Lot, he pauses at the entrance for a moment and turns around. The door frame behind him is bordered with red hearts; but in the next shot when Secret Bear struggles to remove his hat, the red hearts are gone. (00:12:50)
Continuity mistake: During "Nobody Cares Like a Bear," Secret Bear tries (unsuccessfully) to open the door with his cane. He then tucks it beneath his arm and tries again. Once several Care Bears line up to help, the door finally opens...but now the cane has vanished. (00:13:15)
Deliberate mistake: During "Nobody Cares Like a Bear," Kim opens a gift box containing a balloon. Secret Bear then grabs it and floats away. But when Grumpy Bear tosses a star and pops the balloon, confetti flies out of it and, for the next second, keeps reappearing from nowhere. (00:14:05)
Continuity mistake: Throughout the movie, the painting of Fetuccini's image on the side of the trailer has eyes alternating from closed to open. (00:14:50 - 00:51:05)
Continuity mistake: When Nicholas is passed out in Fetuccini's magic trunk, an evil spirit whispers his name twice from within a locked book on the table nearby. Suddenly this book comes into focus, and behind it is a picture hanging on the wall. But after Nicholas asks the spirit how it knows so much, a similar shot of the book now has no picture in the background. (00:14:55)
Continuity mistake: When Nicholas is passed out in the magic trunk, he comes to when the evil spirit calls his name. On the poster in the background, "amazing" & "magician" are initially on their own separate lines. As the scene progresses, the two words can be seen grouped together on one line and then two lines in alternating shots. (00:15:15)
Continuity mistake: When Nicholas wakes up in Fetuccini's magic trunk, an evil spirit's glowing book speaks to him from across the room saying "I know many things." He suddenly gasps with surprise and, in the following shot, lifts himself up. Between these two shots, the number of bolts fastened to the trunk changes (note the right side rear and on either edge of the lock where Nicholas' feet were hanging). (00:15:25)
Continuity mistake: When the evil spirit's book is unlocked, Nicholas turns the key with his right hand. Suddenly, he's thrown to the wall and the key has shifted to his left hand. (00:16:05)
