Day of the Dead (1985)

Trivia: Real pig guts were used for the scene where Joe Pilato (Rhodes) is ripped in half. The guts were accidentally left out of the freezer for the weekend and so were rotten when they were used. The stench was so bad that everybody ran off the set once they finished.

Trivia: Joe Pilato who plays Captain Rhodes in this film had a small role in the Director's Cut of its predecessor, Dawn of the Dead: he's the police captain at the dock scene.

Trivia: Lori Cardille, who plays Sarah, is the daughter of Bill "Chilly Willy" Cardille, who played the newscaster that talks to the sheriff in the original Night of the Living Dead.

Trivia: When Steele shoots through the door Rhodes locked, a ballerina zombie leads with the approaching crowd, shuffling on her toes. Then, in the mines, when John is reloading, a limping zombie in a leather jacket moves towards him. They are Debra Gordon and Don Brockett. Both were in 'Flashdance': one of the ballerinas in the conservatory when Alex goes to apply, and the foreman who takes Nick to the bar Alex dances in the beginning of the movie.
