Continuity mistake: Special Agent Nina Chance has her hair pulled back in a bun. She is running trying to escape from other agents when using a fire escape to get away. However, when she jumps from the fire escape her hair is down and not in bun anymore. (00:51:53)

Continuity mistake: When Regis and Kyle meet at Meridian Park, Regis searches Kyle and finds what appears to be a Walther PPK handgun. After their discussion, Kyle turns to leave. Regis tells him he forgot something and throws the handgun to Kyle. There is a close-up shot of Kyle catching the handgun, and it is a Glock handgun that he catches. In the next shot when Kyle is putting the handgun back in his pocket, it has switched back to the Walther PPK. (00:58:00 - 01:00:00)

Continuity mistake: When Regis parks his car and walks into the police station, he is wearing a wrinkled brown shirt with a vest. Next scene, he is talking to his boss in a freshly pressed blue shirt & tie. Next scene, he is in the brown shirt & vest again. (01:06:12)

Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the movie, when all three are crawling through the Lincoln Tunnel, they are almost waist deep in water. Yet, the Secret Service lady's jeans change from dry to wet and back again. The same when she is chased back through the tunnel, her and the Secret Service guy's trousers are dry.

Other mistake: When they look at the negatives on the boat there is the typical holes at the top and bottom of the negative. Then they magnify a part within the picture. After they look at the magnified part, but the holes are still there.

Continuity mistake: When Snipes and the secret service lady are in the VCR store playing the hidden camera footage, it goes from a shot of the employee and then back to Snipes again and again. You can see that the hidden camera footage stays in the same spot during these shots.

Continuity mistake: When Wesley Snipes and the female Secret Service liaison are riding together in Snipes's car near the beginning of the movie, the first two shots of Snipes shows his seatbelt twisted a couple of times as it crosses over his chest. Subsequent shots in that same scene show the seatbelt laid flatly across his chest.

Continuity mistake: When the assasin comes into the house of the head of White House security shooting you see for a split second the slide cock all the way back indicating that the gun is out of bullets. Then the camera angle switches and the slide is forward again yet there was no time lapse for him to reload.

Factual error: When Wesley Snipes, Diane Lane and Dennis Miller are climbing through the sewer system to get to the White House, Lane looks up and says that they must be under the National Mall because there's Pennsylvania Avenue. That is incorrect. The National Mall is located behind the White House. Pennsylvania Avenue is the street in front. They do not intersect.

Other mistake: When the Wesley Snipes character develops the film found at the dead girl's apartment, he notices the Secret Service guy and blows up that part of the picture, the printout has black borders like a full frame of a film, even though it is only a section of the frame.

Plot hole: Regis could have saved himself a lot of time and solved the case much quicker if he had just verified the entries in Carla Town's day planner with the businesses listed. A few phone calls would have told him the entries were forgeries without going to the technician for help.

Continuity mistake: When Wesley Snipes is in the hotel room with Diane Lane and she sees the secret service pull up, they run out the back door of the hotel room and Wesley slams it shut. When the secret service men enter the hotel room, they know where Wesley and Diane have gone because the door is ajar.

Trivia: Shortly after the midpoint of the film, when Regis and Spikings sit down for a drink in the living room. We see an extreme close-up of Spikings saying "loneliest job in the world" as he takes a sip. There is a tiny grinning skull / demon face in the ice in his glass.
