When the hitmen shoot out the windshield of the yellow Firebird, it shatters into pieces and falls apart. All DOT windshields have a plastic coating on both sides of the glass so that it remains one big sheet, regardless of the many pieces the glass in-between shatters into. [Sorry, but that's incorrect. The plastic coating is either laminated into the middle the glass, or the glass is tempered, with no plastic involved. Even with a plastic laminate, glass can and does shatter and not necessarily stay in one piece. I've seen holes where an object, or someone's head has gone through a windshield, and have seen accidents where a person has been lacerated by flying glass from a windshield. No other glass was broken, just the windshield. The laminate reduces the shattering, flying glass, but does not always keep it one piece.]
