Other mistake: On the way to the remote cabin in the mountains, the Jeep is driven through snow-covered roads and frequently has frosted windows. When the Jeep is approaching the "private" driveway/road, it has somehow been plowed (but is still snow-covered). Despite all the driving through snow and the windows usually frosted over, the Jeep looks clean and dry upon arrival and there is no snow on the tire treads. (00:22:32 - 00:23:21)

Other mistake: When Grace goes outside chasing Aiden and Mia (who are attempting to get away in the Jeep), the amount of snow on the driveway is much lower than the surroundings, but no-one shovelled or plowed it. (01:37:50)

Revealing mistake: Grace set and held her knees twice onto the smoldering logs on the fireplace hearth extension. There was no indication either time that her pants' knees caught fire. There were not even any sparks/ashes flying from the pressure of her knees onto the logs. (01:27:50 - 01:28:27)

Continuity mistake: Grace was wearing an over-sized (gray?) sweater when she was outside sitting on the porch steps holding her dead dog Grady. Aiden and Mia put a dark-colored (black?) blanket around Grace's shoulders and it draped past her hips, touching the porch. It does not appear as though Grace still had the blanket draped over her shoulders or anywhere when there was a distant view of her still sitting on the porch. (01:24:05 - 01:26:55)

Other mistake: Richard's remote "vacation" cabin in the mountains has a mailbox near the house at the top of the long driveway and the red flag is up for outgoing mail to be picked up by the USPS - but it is highly unlikely (almost impossible) that a mail truck would go there. Mail delivery trucks do not have to go to largely inaccessible locations or up long driveways to a mailbox where the truck would have to turn around or back down the driveway. (00:34:16)

Other mistake: The cabin is cold and there is frost/condensation on the cabin windows that Grace is looking out of while watching the others ice-skating, but when she goes into the next room to say "See you later" to her dog Grady, the windows in that room are clear. (00:28:50)

KeyZOid

Other mistake: There is a wall mounted mailbox on the interior side of the deck wall, not easily accessible to a mail carrier. Wall mounted mailboxes are typically placed on or next to the front door or a more accessible location. The location of Richard's house would also question why a roadside mailbox was not required. (00:03:35)

Revealing mistake: The two sets of steps visible from the front of Richard's house (to the right of the garage) are awkwardly placed and unrealistic. Several steps are perpendicular to Richard's parked Jeep then disappear behind the trees. The second steps are parallel to the Jeep (but perpendicular to the other steps) and appear to start "in the air" near the top of the garage, are at an odd angle to the deck and would lead to the side wall of the house's exterior above the deck, not the deck or front door. (00:03:35)

Continuity mistake: The amount of snow cover on the lake is inconsistent. There is solid ice with a foot or more of snow cover when Grace goes out to ice-skate, but once she is on the lake going toward Mia by the fishing hole, there appears to be only a couple inches of snow cover. However, when Richard is skating toward the fishing hole to rescue Grace, he falls into several inches of snow. The thickness of the ice around the fishing hole also varies. (00:29:15 - 00:31:10)

Revealing mistake: The structure/set-up of Richard's house (front view) doesn't make sense and can't be real. The half of the house to the right of the screen is at an awkward angle and has no windows. What little of the roof that can be seen is flat - not conducive to snowy Massachusetts. The bottom of the door to the right of the garage door is inches above the driveway pavement (elevated with no step). The deck wall to the right of the yellow door is higher than the door but the front rails only reach halfway. (00:03:25)

KeyZOid

Continuity mistake: When Richard and the kids are picking up Grace to go to the cabin, the sizes and locations of the areas defrosted in the rear window of the Jeep change from two horizontal areas to one area that is shorter and then to only one area that is lower than the previous ones. (00:20:55 - 00:21:17)

Continuity mistake: Grace has blood on most of her face from her eyes down, nose, and lips when she goes up to Aiden and Mia's loft, but most of it appears to be gone when she goes into the hallway to meet Richard. (The hallway is dark, but the blood should still be visible). (01:33:19 - 01:35:40)

Continuity mistake: The position of Richard's legs change when he is dead on the stairway landing. Initially, Richard's right leg is bent at the knee and pointing toward the lower flight and his left leg is straight, going up the wall to the next flight. Richard's legs quickly switch from this position when Grace is approaching the landing to his right leg going up the wall and his left leg not visible when Grace reaches the landing. An aerial view then shows Richard's legs back to their original positions. (01:36:27 - 01:37:12)

Character mistake: Mia's Sea-Monkey, in a vertical position, was shown sinking to the bottom the jar. It isn't clear if the Sea-Monkey was dead or if Mia was referring to it when she said, "She's gonna freeze to death, Aiden", but Mia should have known how to properly care for her Sea-Monkey (or refer to the instructions) and, realizing the room was too cold, should have done something - such as wrapped a towel/blanket around the jar and/or moved the jar to a warmer location (e.g, near the fireplace). (01:22:33)

KeyZOid

Factual error: Laura, Aiden, and Mia often complained about how cold it was in the cabin. Mia kept her jar with the Sea-Monkey on her bedroom window sill - right next to the frosted/iced-over windows. The Sea-Monkey's habitat should not be exposed to direct sunlight and, more importantly, the Sea-Monkey needs to be kept in room temperature water or between 70-76° F (higher for hatching). Mia's Sea-Monkey could not survive under the conditions she kept it in at the cabin. (01:22:37)

Trivia: Richard's "Woody" Jeep in the movie (set in 2019) appears to be a 1980s (1987?) Wagoneer Limited. Wagoneers were discontinued in 1991, but Wagoneers and Grand Wagoneers have returned (in different form) in 2022.
