Avengers: Infinity War

Corrected entry: When Ebony Maw fights Strange and Wong, they send back the spikes and hit Maw on his face on the left side but he gets the wound on his right. (00:22:55)

oswal13

Correction: No, if you look closer you'll see the spike hit the right side of his face which means the continuity is on track.

Corrected entry: Just after Cull Obsidian advances on Tony, Bruce, Doctor Strange and Wong to get the Time Stone, Tony activates his nanotech Iron Man suit, and the Iron Man suit forms around his body. Just before his helmet forms around his head, there is a wide shot where he takes off his glasses, but as his he is lowering them, the glasses appear to fade out of existence. He is never shown dropping the glasses or putting them down, they just appear to have been digitally removed from his hand. (00:21:00)

Casual Person

Correction: It is possible these glasses are made of nanotech as well and they dissolve into his suit.

lionhead

Definitely. There would be no reason to go through the expense and effort to digitally erase them from his hand when they could simply film him dropping them to the ground. The fact that they disappear as his suit is forming around him infers that they are part of the nanotech.

Phaneron

Correction: He has a shield on each hand when he hits Thanos. It cuts away and they next time he is seen he has only one. It doesn't disappear suddenly, he removed it offscreen.

Corrected entry: When Dr Strange is first captured in new York, the cable winds up his body and wraps around his neck multiple times. After the piece of road floats up into the air with him lying on, his cape then pulls him out head first and flies him away because the cable wrapped around his neck has mysteriously disappeared.

Correction: Cull Obsidian used the cable around his neck to knock Strange out, then made them retract and loosen again as he didn't want to kill him with it and they weren't necessary anymore.

Corrected entry: In Edinburgh with Wanda and Vision there are no people on the streets or the station. Edinburgh Waverley station opens at 5am - if it's early enough for the station to be closed then there'd be people staggering home from clubs, etc., especially on the high street, and if it's late enough for everyone to be home and off the streets, there'd be at least a few people in the station running the place.

oswal13

Correction: They never specify what day of the week it is. Sure, on a Friday or Saturday there would be a few people about, but on a weekday they likely wouldn't. Plus, the few people around would likely run away when a superhero fight broke out nearby.

Corrected entry: When Ebony Maw attaches Strange to the wall, they are upside down but Ebony's hair doesn't react to gravity. (00:23:05)

oswal13

Correction: Maw was using his telekinetic powers to hover above the ground and be upside down. He likely used his telekinetic powers keep his body, hair and clothing in the same state to make it easier for him. You can tell this by the way his hair kind of floats when he is attaching Strange to the wall, compared to when it rests normally when he is right side up.

Casual Person

Corrected entry: If Thor knew that Thanos would be waiting for the stones on Titan he should have gone there, instead of somehow knowing to head straight to Wakanda.

oswal13

Correction: Thor didn't know Thanos went to Titan. He correctly predicted that he would head to Knowhere, after which he would likely go after the 2 stones on Earth.

Thor heard from Thanos that we will be go to Titan inside the ship or at least he should go to Knowwhere not to the earth.

Thor's new hammer gives him the ability to summon the Bifrost, which means he has to survey his intended destination before creating the portal to transport. He very well could have surveyed both Knowhere and Titan (assuming he even knows where Titan is) before settling on Wakanda, but that would have both wasted screen time and diminished the impact for the audience of him arriving in Wakanda to help the other heroes. The movie even shows Thanos arriving on Titan after Thor already arrived in Wakanda, so we can surmise that Thor didn't know where Thanos was located and settled on joining the battle on Earth with the hope that Thanos would eventually turn up there.

Phaneron

Correction: The movie never says that Thor knew that Thanos was on Titan. He knew from the first scene in the film that Thanos sent the Black Order to look for the two Stones that were on Earth (one of which ended up going to Titan with Doctor Strange). He simply used his new powers to summon the Bifrost to survey Earth and located his friends and the Mind Stone in Wakanda and teleported there.

Avengers: Infinity War mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Doctor Strange attempts to use the Time Stone on Ebony Maw, Maw ties up Strange telepathically and strangles him unconscious. Beside Strange is a police car and a motorbike tipped on its side. Maw then lifts the ground he is lying on, but the police car has been replaced by an SUV and the motorbike has disappeared. The shadows also change. (00:23:25)

Peter Quill: Dude, don't call us plucky. We don't know what it means. We're more optimistic, yes. I like your plan. Except, it sucks. So let me do the plan and that way it might be really good.
Drax: Tell him about the dance-off to save the Universe.
Tony Stark: What dance-off?
Peter Quill: It's not a thing.
Peter Parker: Like in Footloose, the movie?
Peter Quill: Exactly like Footloose. Is it still the greatest movie in history?
Peter Parker: It never was.
Tony Stark: Don't encourage Flash Gordon.
Peter Quill: Flash Gordon? That's a compliment. Don't forget, I'm half human. So that 50% of me that's stupid that's 100% you.

Trivia: In this film, Thanos' plan to wipe out half of all sentient life stems from his desire to bring balance to the universe. In the comics, he is motivated by his unrequited love for the physical embodiment of Death.

Question: Why doesn't anyone ever destroy the stones? What purpose do they serve other than no one person should have them?

DetectiveGadget85

Answer: "Doctor Strange" demonstrates that the Infinity Stones are useful in the most dire of situations, when Strange used the Time Stone to prevent Dormammu from taking over the Earth. It's also possible that some of the stones are indestructible. Wanda is able to temporarily destroy the Mind Stone by using her own powers, but the Power Stone will destroy any being that doesn't possess the strength to wield it, and the Reality Stone is shown to have a will of its own and defended itself when it bonded with Jane Foster.

Phaneron

Also, in the comics, if the stones are destroyed they will simply be replaced by something else or even stones again. They represent the existence of the universe and cannot be destroyed for real. Always only temporarily.
