Factual error: The opening of the movie has the two "CHiPs" in two different locations. One is in California, the other in Florida. One wakes up at 5 and prepares for the big criminal enterprise, while the other gets up at 8 for their law enforcement test. The montage shows their accolades entwined. After all, there is a 3 hours difference between the 2 states. The problem is... it's the one in Florida that is up at 5 AM, and the one in California that is up at 8 AM. When it's 5 AM in FL, it's 2 AM in CA. It should have been the other way around, the CA guy being up at 5 and the East coast guy at 8.

Sammo

Continuity mistake: In the opening chase scene, a Chevy SS is used as the getaway car. Then a Chevy Malibu is torched at the shipping dock.

Continuity mistake: At the beginning when the drivers are in the getaway car, they accidentally shot out the back window. When faced with the choice to put the guns on the floor or a barrel in their mouth the cops move in and shoot at the car, shattering a now unbroken rear window.

Other mistake: During the high speed motorcycle chase the helicopter pilot gauges the motorcycle's speed at 150mph. When the motorcycles go under the overpass they disappear by apparently making a 90 degree turn. That maneuver would be impossible at that speed with such a short distance to slow down in.

Continuity mistake: When John takes off to chase the Ferrari, in the background Ponch turns on his red and blue lights. In a close up the lights then aren't on, then in a wide shot they are again.

Continuity mistake: When they go to the house of the pilot who jumped out of the helicopter, as they pull up on the motorcycles at the house, he loops around to back up and park, and they park close to the driveway entrance. In the next shot of the motorcycles parked, they are nowhere near the entrance.

Factual error: When the motorhome gets T-boned, it breaks clean in half. The motorhome would have a heavy steel frame that would bend but not break, so the frame was obviously cut for dramatic effect during the stunt.
