Continuity mistake: Tracy's hairband keeps changing colour throughout the movie. At the airport its a white scrunchy and in the helicopter it starts off black, and then goes to light brown. (00:27:35)
Continuity mistake: When Duane and Blaine are running to the front of the queue at the airport, to buy a ticket, the time on the clock at the receptionist desk is 10:20. In the next shot it is 10:38. (00:28:15)
Continuity mistake: When Blaine and Duane wreck the airport radar, Blaine throws a hook at the radar and it lands in the slot fourth from the right. In the next shot the hook is now in the slot third from the right. (00:29:50)
Visible crew/equipment: The safety wire attached to Blaine's right side is visible when he notices the rope around the radar tightening, and gasps / flinches. (00:30:10)
Factual error: Security at the airport must be a little lax if two men are able to cut into the fence and climb the radar tower without being noticed the whole time, making all that noise, etc. Also, when the man in the control tower (with the binoculars) noticed the truck hanging, you'd think that security or police would notified. No-one ever questions them, and in the next scene we see a worker at the "U-Rent-It" car rental, checking his licence. No cops investigate the matter, nor is security called. (00:30:15 - 00:33:05)
Continuity mistake: The knot in the rope and the way the rope is tied around the bumper of Duane's car, in the scene where they break the radar, changes between shots. (00:30:15)
Continuity mistake: When the rope tied around the radar pulls Duane's truck forward, in a wide shot the sky is crystal blue and totally clear. Once the truck has been pulled to the top of the tower moments later, in another wide shot the sky is now filled with clouds. (00:30:30)
Continuity mistake: Blaine's tongue piercing disappears at the airport, when he's trying to run away from the car, he screams and you can clearly see that the piercing is not there. (00:31:05)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Duane and his brother are trying to delay all the airline flights, a few seconds after his truck goes through the fence, you see a shot with everything in it. The rope in this shot is curved, when it should be straight, as the radar is pulling the truck. (00:31:45)
Continuity mistake: When Seth Green is being pulled up by the radar tower, Seth is hanging on by the steering wheel, but in the next shot you see of him he is sitting in his seat again. (00:32:05)
Continuity mistake: When Seth Green is being pulled up the side of a radio control tower while in a truck, the rotating radio receiver which is pulling the truck upwards groans and fractures under the stress, but the rope is not taut and obviously not holding any weight. (00:32:35)
Continuity mistake: When Nick walks to Tracy to tell her his great comeback, she closes her book. In the next shot she has it opened at the same page as before, and then closes it again. (00:33:05)
Continuity mistake: When Kimberley says she need to go to the bathroom, the family drive past a restaurants' sign, but in the next shot if you look through the back window, the sign has vanished. (00:35:00)
Continuity mistake: At the start of the scene where the taxi driver leaves Owen out in the desert, in the first wide shot of them driving on the road, the road has no markings on it. In the next shot of inside the car, you can clearly see out the back window of the car that the road now has double yellows lines running across the middle of the road. (00:35:40)
Continuity mistake: When Randy asks the officer "how fast was I going," his seatbelt jumps from under to over his collar between shots. Again, when Kimberley is begging him to stop at the Barbie museum, the seatbelt repeatedly jumps from over to under his collar. (00:37:00 - 00:39:50)

She is wearing a red jacket, however after she head-butts him, it goes to a wider shot outside of the car, but through the car windshield you can see she or, her stunt double, has a blue denim jacket on now. Answer: They only had blanks - the non-cut keys that are used to make keys. So when they saw those, they knew that the guy had their key.
