Continuity mistake: When the girls are standing on the beach with the flares to guide in the German aircraft they are in two rows just a few metres apart. The view from the aircraft shows them much further apart, wide enough for the aircraft to land between them.

Continuity mistake: Brahms was quite clean for having been buried under dirt and leaves. No dirt fell off Brahms' body when Jude pulled him out of his "grave" and there did not appear to be dirt in his hair. Continuity mistake: There are some continuity problems during the cafeteria scene where Fern is being introduced to her co-workers. Fern is holding a banana, peeled almost to the bottom, and has several slices of banana on her peanut butter sandwich. There is another banana peel on her paper lunch bag. Fern is shown taking a bite of her sandwich. A little later, Fern is holding a partially peeled banana but no slices can be seen on her sandwich. If this is her second sandwich, she already peeled two bananas. (00:05:59 - 00:06:32)
Continuity mistake: Mikey and his friend are smoking the same inch-long joint by the back door which gets passed back and forth - no way they could keep holding/smoking it for that long given how short it was to start with. (00:04:50)
Continuity mistake: Monica's station wagon and the moving van Jacob drove to their new property in Arkansas are not parked in the same positions moments after their arrival. Initially, both vehicles are at some distance from the mobile home (or trailer) and are roughly parallel. When the camera shifts to a view from the vehicles toward the mobile home, the vehicles are suddenly a lot closer and their front ends are angled toward each other. (00:02:13)

Continuity mistake: The position of the dead (imposter) security guard's head over the barbell changes. When Gus says, "Jesus, he's dead", the security guard's neck is over the barbell rail, the top of his head is touching the floor, and his face is toward the front of the screen. When the camera goes to the opposite side of the dead guard, his head and neck are raised (and apparently no longer being supported by the barbell - or anything else). (00:28:28)

Continuity mistake: The fragments from the truck's taillights that Cassie smashed with a tire iron were obviously "neatly rearranged" (and looked resized to be more uniform) before showing them after the man drove away. Cassie hit the outer sides of the rear taillights and fragments of various sizes scattered, so all would not settle close together along the bumper. One large fragment from the passenger side flew past Cassie behind the truck and landed about three or four feet away but was not there afterwards.
Continuity mistake: The flatbed truck that Kyle and Swin got in at the onset of their trip is very different when they parked and went to buy rope (but got tape). The truck style is different, the cargo and its cover have changed (tarp is smaller, a different color, and is wrapped across instead of front to back), and the orange cone/cones change locations. Continuity mistake: The shape, amount, length and width of the white down "Dream Alliance's" face varied, as did the height of his white "boots", indicating that the same foal/horse was not used throughout the movie. The white on the foal's and adult Dream Alliance's face and lower legs looked painted on at times. Before Dream's first race, black tape was used on his lower legs, apparently as an attempt to make a different horse's higher white boots less or not at all noticeable. (00:32:42 - 00:35:51)
