Continuity mistake: When Kevin and Perry are DJing in Kevin's room, there is a green lava lamp in front of the decks. In one shot the lava lamp is switched off, and in the next shot the lava lamp is switched on, and in the next shot it is switched back off again. (00:21:05)
Continuity mistake: The door that the boys find in the pile is green. For one shot in the junkyard the door is white.
Continuity mistake: During the scene where Akima gets out of the shower, we see Cale going over some of the stuff she collected that's sitting on her table. On it there is a baseball and a picture frame that's lying flat on the table. Cale picks up the baseball, says something to Akima and puts the baseball back down on the table, where it rolls over the picture frame as if it was flat as the table.
Continuity mistake: Chris Rock and Morgan Freeman are outside of Rosa's apartment, looking in the trunk of Betty's car. The cut-out of Dr. David Ravell pops out. Chris Rock throws the cut-out on the ground and stomps on it. Chris Rock has on white tennis shoes. Later, when Chris and Morgan are inside Rosa's apartment, Chris Rock is wearing black tennis shoes when he is with the sheriff, taking his gun and handcuffs.
Continuity mistake: In the beginning of the movie, the pan of the house shows the lava lamp on. While the camera is on Jesse, the lamp is off, and when it leaves him, the lamp is on again.
Continuity mistake: In the scene at the carnival, Ryan hands Ashley a drink that he just bought. The drink is full to the top with ice and a lemon. Before Ashley even drinks any of the drink, she walks over to a carnival ride and you can see that her cup is empty.
Continuity mistake: When John Cusack is at a house after the funeral, he is standing in front of a fireplace. You can see the boom microphone dip into the top of the screen above his head.
Continuity mistake: When "B" accidentally pulls the leg off of the dead dog, the position of it in her hands changes between cuts.
Continuity mistake: In the beginning of the movie, when Al (Freddie Prinze Jr) meets Imogen (Julia Stiles) She introduces herself as a freshman, and he introduces himself as a sophomore. the movie spans over the rest of the school year until she goes away for the summer. However, at the end of their first summer apart, Al is eating dinner with his dad and they are discussing his upcoming senior year and post-graduation plans. It should only be his junior year.
Continuity mistake: After Madeleine has been whipped and she is putting her clothes back on, she puts her arm into the same sleeve twice.
Continuity mistake: In the trailer, there is a scene showing Matt Damon in a fight. The other person pulls out a knife and cuts Damon on the right side of his face, leaving a big scar. In the next scene of the same commercial the scar changes from the right side of his face to the left side and then back again.
Continuity mistake: When Eric Roberts reaches for the gun on the roof, he's wearing the jacket of his suit again, when he took it off 20 minutes before.
Continuity mistake: After the dummy is in the water with the camera and the killer comes back to check on his "garden", we see the dummy from behind while he's swimming towards it. His hair barely moves. Then we see the dummy from the front and the hair is flowing freely in the water like everyone else's.
Continuity mistake: When Leslie Nielsen came back from robbing the guys house the man who lived in the house came over to Leslie & started to talk. Later on Leslie put some blue paint on the man. When the camera angles change, parts of the paint splashes are missing on the right side of the man's chest.
Continuity mistake: After Johns dies and Riddick is talking to Fry you see in one shot that only the bottle that Fry is holding is lit up, yet in the very next shot you see that all three, Fry, Jack, and the Muslim kid's bottles are lit. (01:23:40)
Continuity mistake: When we see the police officer checking the hit counter on an adult web site, the hit counter goes down from 1,739,986 to 1,739,944 a few seconds later.
Continuity mistake: After Willis rescues the people, he's at breakfast with his son and wife. He slides the newspaper to his son. Close-up on paper (beside orange juice) shows "Bold" typestyle on story slug. Camera pans up to Willis, cuts to son, cut back to newspaper. Continuity mistake: When Profion approaches the wheel with the sword, the wheel is almost stopped with the white blob on the right. Shot changes to the wheel totally motion less and the blob is on the left.
