Factual error: It is said in the film that Ice Cube's character works in an airport in Detroit. When the scene shows Ice Cube at work as a baggage handler, there are mountains in the background. There are no mountains in the Detroit area. (00:14:10)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where the Asian gang is ramming Porter with their car, when they hit him the windshield gets smashed. When they all get back in their car and drive off the windshield is fine. (00:47:15 - 00:48:35)
Revealing mistake: In the David Letterman scenes, Paul Schaeffer's head is shaved, which he just did recently (maybe within the last year to year and a half). (01:15:00)
Continuity mistake: Rachel (Emily Bergl) is in her kitchen and she has a black and white flash back in her kitchen by the sink. One minute, she has on a flannel shirt, the next its gone and she's only wearing a tank top. A second later, the flannel shirt is back on.
Continuity mistake: In the whipped cream bikini scene, when Mox pulls back from kissing the cheerleader he has whipped cream on his shirt. In the next shot it's not there.
Continuity mistake: When Frankie is about to receive the first stigmata (when sitting in the bath), a pigeon suddenly flies up. When she takes a piece of a feather that flew into the water, you can already see stigmata marks on her right-hand wrists.
Continuity mistake: When the Iron Giant follows Hogarth home they cross a railwayline and the Giant starts to eat the steel rail. During this scene you can see the distance of the railway sleepers changing from a fair distance apart to close together over the course of the shots. In the same scene you can also see that, although there is a crossing with lights, no vehicle could possibly pass as the rail has no crossover facility at that level. (00:24:30)
Revealing mistake: When Homer placed the rocket on his fence and lit it his friend asked "Should we get behind somethin'?" That's when the rocket explodes. When you see them fly back you don't need to slow motion it because you can clearly see the wires attached to their backs.
Continuity mistake: When Lance arrives at the church to call off the wedding, he exits an old model cab with a square body. As he's walking up the church stairs the cab pulls off and is a newer model.
Continuity mistake: The bottle of Peach Schnapps that Trip (Josh Hartnett) brings to the dance is alternately full and half empty during the scene. When Trip pulls it out, it is new and unopened. He hands it to Lux to drink, at which time it is nearly empty. He then drinks from it, and it is about half-full. He next hands it to the other couple, at which time the bottle is nearly full again. Visible crew/equipment: When Homer follows Rose Rose inside after finding out she's pregnant, there is a visible "T" taped on the floor for him to stand on.
Continuity mistake: When Nicholas Cage is being escorted to fetch the roll of film from his car, there are a few scenes where the accountant is holding a gun to Nicholas's head. When the camera is directed at the accountant, two hands can be seen grasping the gun, but when the camera is facing Mr Cage, initially there are two hands but after the next switchback there only appears to be the one! Continuity mistake: When Sam and the other girl fall down the mountain, at one shot Sam unlocks the girls snowboard and it drops down the mountain but at one shot before the ski patrol throws the rope down to them you can see (for a second) on the right side of the girl, the corner of the snow board. Then she doesn't have it.
Continuity mistake: The tape is labelled "Vincent Grey" in the first shot, but the label disappears in the next shot. (01:11:32)
Continuity mistake: When Parkis the detective comes to give his first report Maurice is shaving. The shaving cream on Maurice's face keeps appearing and disappearing throughout the scene, most obviously when he looks aroud the corner. (00:23:40)
Continuity mistake: When Tracy sets up her card table before school there's a close up of each leg being flipped out. If you count; theres five legs shown from a four legged table.
Continuity mistake: When Craig first discovers the portal door his crouching position changes slightly between the camera shot inside the tunnel and that from the office, and again when he closes the office door and goes back to the portal door.
Continuity mistake: Right after the Rabbi is shot in the beginning of the movie by Dominic, we see the two prophets check to see what was taken from the office. We can plainly see the dead Rabbi take two deep breaths during this scene.
Continuity mistake: At one point about three-quarters of the way through the movie, when Lowell Bergman (Al Pacino) and Don Hewitt (Philip Baker Hall) are talking, watch in the background as a certain lady walks past after Don says something. When we cut back to him he says something else, but the same woman in the background appears and walks exactly in the same direction, just like in the previous cut. (01:52:35)
Continuity mistake: When John Travolta is searching the dead woman's house he has latex gloves on. When he pulls out his gun and heads into the basement, his gloves are gone when he turns on the light. Then they reappear a few seconds later.
