Other mistake: There is no tea or any other liquid that spills out from the overturned kettle and cups, when Mrs. Kissell 'drops' the serving tray on the Reverend's coffee table.
Other mistake: The chandelier falls at the crystal ballroom and Wally drops. You can see he's nowhere near it but he still falls down.
Other mistake: In the opening credits the following is posted "Screenplay based on Rider Haggard's Allan Quartermain" The author's name is usually given as H. Rider Haggard (H. For Henry), and Haggard's hero was named Quatermain (1 "r" not 2). This misspelling of Quatermain appears in many movies.
Other mistake: Teri Lynn, the founding member of HOTS, who comes from somewhere like Arkansas or West Virginia's accent disappears from the movie several times.
Other mistake: Lauren Tewes' character is credited as "Jessie", but the name tag on her waitress outfit says "Jesse." (00:17:00)
Other mistake: Whilst Captain Holland, Lieutenant Pizer, Dr. McCrae, Bob and Vincent are riding in the ship's transport system, the tube comes to an abrupt end due to meteorite damage. Since the tube is outside the ship, there would be no air left for the humans to breathe, nor could they survive in outer space completely unprotected for long. Plus, they would't be able to hear Bob's statement that they should try the main corridor. (01:17:40)
Other mistake: In the scene where Frank Morris first starts to dig using the nail clipper, he stands up in his cell, turns off the light then bends down to start digging, however the only light coming into the cell would be on his right, but the shadows from his head and bars appear to be from a light directly behind him.
