Elizabeth Montgomery (Samantha) was actually able to twitch her nose, to move her nose back and forth. Many believe that the editors sped up the film to enhance her twitch.

Birdies, Bogies, and Baxter - S4-E7

Macdonald Carey, who played Baxter, was on the soap opera "Days Of Our Lives" from 1965 until he passed away in 1994. He provided the famous "Like sands through the hourglass" opening narration.

Samantha Fights City Hall - S5-E9

Because Erin Murphy, who played Tabitha, was ill, her fraternal twin sister Diane took her place in this episode. By this time, Erin and Diane didn't resemble each other as much as they once did, and it was obvious to regular viewers of the show that it wasn't the Tabitha they were used to seeing. The producers received several letters asking "Who was that?"

Since the filming crew had to float objects around the set, they spray-painted the wires to make them less visible.

The Screen Gems sets of Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie were right next to each other at the studio, and many of the actual sets and props were shared between the two shows. Both shows also shared Dick Albain, the Special Effects expert, who worked on the two shows for quite awhile.

Super Grover

Darrin's father, Frank Stephens, was also played by two different actors (Robert F. Simon and Roy Roberts).

Super Arthur - S6-E20

When Uncle Arthur loses his powers,Samantha offers to teach him how to drive. This is a reversal of the season 1 episode, "Red Light, Green Light", where Paul Lynde - playing a driving instructor before he was later cast as Uncle Arthur - tried to teach Samantha how to drive.

A Bunny for Tabitha - S6-E8

The little girl who is punched by a young Danny Bonaduce at Tabitha's party is Erin Murphy's twin sister Diane, decked out in a brown wig to mask her resemblance to her sister.

Jeff Swanson

Elizabeth Montgomery herself chose the name 'Tabitha' for the name of her TV daughter; actor Edward Andrews had a daughter with that name and Elizabeth liked the 'old fashioned' way it sounded. But at first the name was spelled 'Tabatha' in the credits and Elizabeth disliked it.

Samantha the Sculptress - S5-E19

The bust of David White from this episode can be seen at Hollywood Forever cemetery; it is in a memorial niche which also contains the ashes of White and his son Jonathan.

Jeff Swanson

Originally, Samantha's trademark nose twitch was actually a nervous habit. Episode eight was the first to be produced, and when Elizabeth Montgomery (Samantha) was asked to twitch her nose for the first time, she didn't know if she could.

Samantha and the Troll - S7-E19

The rag doll is played by Diane Murphy (Erin's sister); the troll is played by Felix Silla who also played Cousin It on the Addams Family TV series.

Season 7 generally

The main reason the first few episodes of season 7 were filmed in Salem was because there had been a fire in the kitchen area of the set between seasons 6 and 7; subsequently the set had to be partially rebuilt. This explains the changes in the kitchen in season 7, including a new eating area and the back staircase.

Jeff Swanson

The way Darrin felt about Samantha's witchcraft was entirely different from what Dick York thought. In real life Dick York expressed that Samantha should have said, "Lay off, or I'll zap you one."

Samantha's Wedding Present - S5-E1

When tiny Darrin is standing next to telephone on the table, the area code on the Stephens' phone is listed as 311. This is a fictitious area code that has sometimes been used in other TV shows or movies.

Samantha's Curious Cravings - S6-E4

Look at the graffiti next to the pay phone when Samantha is calling Darrin. There's a heart with "BA + EM" written inside it. The initials stand for Bill Asher and Elizabeth Montgomery, who were married at the time.
