Horizon - S2-E20

Trivia: When Travis is in his old room talking with Nora about Enterprise, look on the bookshelf behind Travis. There's a large white book about Chicago gangs of the 1920's. In the original series episode "A Piece of the Action" it is determined that 100 years ago the ship Horizon accidentally left a book about Chicago gangs which influenced the entire culture to mimic the mobster lifestyle. The Science of Illusion - S1-E20

Visible crew/equipment: After Britta accidentally bumps the gurney into the window, she grabs the body bag in a failed attempt to keep the corpse from falling out into the quad. Right as she grabs the body bag, look on the ground behind her. Someone slides a mat in behind her for her to fall onto. (00:13:50)

Blood Is Thicker - S2-E3

Visible crew/equipment: After Doctor Ellingham finds the sofa on the road, Bert shows up and sits down on it and talks. As he does, watch the side mirror when Doctor Ellingham returns to his car. When the door opens, you see the reflection of a cameraman or other crew member reflected in the mirror. (00:02:05)

Dr. No (1962)

Continuity mistake: When Honey is telling Bond that her shells could be sold for $50 in Miami, not only does the background appear to be the wrong section of the beach (it looks like the area up where her boat is stashed, not down on the sand bar) but at the bottom of the screen, some kind of buoy or flotation device bobs up on the water just behind Ursula Andress. A couple shots later, however, when they're running along the beach, the whole area is completely clear. (01:04:35)

Supergirl (1984)

Revealing mistake: In the final confrontation, when the force of shadows pulls Supergirl forward her body begins to tilt backward as she struggles. As she does, you can see the straps of her flying harness begin to peek out from underneath her super skirt. (01:53:40)

Revealing mistake: When they drive out of Vegas, headed for Witch Mountain, there is a shot that appears to be made with a camera on a mobile cherry picker. The camera sweeps across the road and up high, watching as the vehicle passes under the camera. As it passes the camera, you can see a trail of dust that was kicked up by the cherry picker. It crosses the road and is still floating in the air from a recent crossing.

Continuity mistake: When Tiger and Fievel are doing their musical piece, Tiger wipes off the mirror and they appear the same size. When he lays out in front of the mirror, singing the line "We'll be there to pick each other off the floor", he places his head next to the cage bottom, still laying on the floor between them. In the mirror, however, that cage bottom is not reflected at all. (00:57:30)

Revealing mistake: While Billy and Eli are on the river, with Eli in the front and Billy in the background, pay attention to Eli's paddle. When it passes in front of Billy, you can see right through it to see Billy through the paddle. (00:56:25)

Top Secret! (1984)

Top Secret! mistake picture

Visible crew/equipment: In the "Straighten the Rug" dance scene, when Nick runs up the wall and does a backflip, it is clear that he is being held up by wires. The filmmakers did a good job rotoscoping the wires out against the wall, but when his legs pass behind the wires and harness, they have not been taken out at all and are visible. (Freeze-frame when he is completely upside down for the best view.). (01:07:10)

Superman II (1980)

Superman II mistake picture

Visible crew/equipment: Ursa throws the sewer lid at Superman sending him flying backwards into the car windshield. Watch the sewer lid carefully when Superman actually hits the windshield. You can see that the sewer lid was actually attached to a belt around his waist so that it would stay in place for the shots where he is flying backward through the air. (01:39:50)

Star Trek (1966)

Suggested correction: This wasn't a continuous shot though, we just don't know where they get the insignia, it could have been in his pocket. Both Kirk and Sulu are on the planet's surface without their insignia. And when "evil" Kirk beams up, he too doesn't have it on, even though later he does.

Bishop73

What possible reason could there be for the Enterprise Insignia, which is stitched to every uniform, to be in 'Evil' Kirk's pocket? No character has done this in any episode of Star Trek. They don't get them from anywhere, they are a part of their uniforms.

Revealing mistake: When Darcy has caught up to Elizabeth in the end and they are kissing in the street with the police cars around them, if you look at the side of the cars, you can see that these Las Vegas, Nevada police officers are driving cars from the Provo, Utah police force (where the movie was primarily filmed). Tron (1982)

Revealing mistake: After Flynn, Tron and Ram take their drink, they resume their journey in their stolen Light Cycles. There is a shot of them coming around a corner and riding along a cliff side. If you look carefully (this is painfully obvious if you go frame by frame) they don't actually come around the corner. Their Light Cycles simply appear one by one and they make their turn. Audio problem: After Kronos One is fired upon, Kirk calls down to engineering to ask if they had been firing torpedoes. Scotty responds by looking at the inventory screen and saying "Negative Captain. According to inventory we're still fully loaded." That Scotty sure is fast. He gets through saying "Negative Captain" before his reflection even starts moving its mouth. It's a little dark so turn up the brightness on your screen. (00:28:50)

Trivia: The death of Spock was leaked out very early on in the production of this show (they suspected Roddenberry as he was very against it). When they were planning the training scenario at the beginning of the movie, it was originally going to be about halfway through the movie. They decided, however, to move it to the beginning so we would assume it was real. They then decided to 'kill' Spock off right there at the beginning (along with the rest of the bridge crew). That way, those watching the show for the first time who were told that Spock would die, would assume (after it was revealed that the beginning was a training scenario) that Spock was only going to pretend to die. That way, even though they were told that Spock died in the movie, they were still surprised when he actually did.

Continuity mistake: After being marooned inside Regula I, McCoy is tending to Chekov who is lying unconscious. He says, "He's coming around." You then see McCoy handing him a bandage to hold to his ear and Chekov raises his arm to hold it. Immediately following, there is a shot of McCoy saying "...She's finished," (referring to the Enterprise) and you can see Chekov raising his hand to his ear again. (01:14:05)

Character mistake: While Khan is "interviewing" Chekhov and Terrell, he stated, "On Earth, two hundred years ago, I was a prince, with power over millions." The official date for this movie is 2285. That would place Khan on earth around 2085 by this statement. However, it is made clear in the episode "Space Seed" that Khan and his followers escaped earth in the year 1996: nearly one hundred years earlier. Quite a way off to be a rounding error. (00:21:45)

Suggested correction: I don't believe the earth year had been established when this movie was made and it was something the franchise applied to itself retroactively later on.

Revealing mistake: As Juni runs to save his sister from the skeletons, he fights two of them (one wearing a helmet) before running out to the rocks that she is standing on. After he defeats the skeletons and runs off screen and immediately before the scene is cut to show the outcropping with the kids on it, there is one frame where the skeleton disappears from the shot immediately before the cut. (01:13:55)

Continuity mistake: When Kirk is being tried for the assassination of the Klingon Chancellor, his personal log is used against him. Chang was able to get a hold of that clip because Valeris heard him say it while he was making his personal log in his quarters just after leaving space dock. However, in the trial the sound byte says "I've never trusted Klingons, and I never will. I've never been able to forgive them for the death of my boy." When Kirk was recording his log, his exact words were "I've never trusted Klingons, and I never will. I can never forgive them for the death of my boy." Oddly enough, the version used in the trial is less condemning as it simply states that he hasn't yet forgiven them, while the version said in his quarters states that forgiveness is impossible.
