Love Actually (2003)

Question: When Keira Knightley finds out that Andrew Lincoln loves her on the video, he gets really awkward and says something along the lines of 'I've got to go somewhere for lunch.' Then he pauses and says, 'It's a self-preservation thing' and walks out. When he says that does he mean the eating (ie his lunch) or the video (so he at least can look at her sometimes even if he can't have her)?

Answer: He refers to the fact that he is usually not very nice to her and pretends not to like her. That makes it easier for him not to show his love, which is important because otherwise he would spoil the friendship with her husband.

Her question is more about the disparity between his behavior towards her and this video which shows he's felt very differently from how he's acted. The video of her (close ups of just her) was meant only for him.

The Mummy (1999)

Question: At the end of the movie, as Rick, Evie, and Johnathon are leaving Humanatra, we see that Rick's bag is filled with gold from the city. How, where and when did Rick find the time to get some of the gold if him and his friends were fighting for their lives?

Answer: Beni (the bad guy serving the mummy who eventually gets killed by the bugs) can be seen carrying the gold out of the city. He then returns to get more, but can't get out any more. Rick and Evie just take the camel that Beni planned to use for the transport of his gold; they don't bring any gold out of the city themselves.

Stuck On You (2003)

Question: At the end of the movie when Walt is singing the song Summertime, is he lip syncing? If so, who is the singer? I know this song has been covered by any number of people over the years, but this particular rendition was popular in the 60's or 70's. Does anyone know who the singer was?

Good Will Hunting (1997)

Question: When Will is discovered by the professor, he is solving a math problem using what appear to be stick figures. Is there a branch of mathematics that deals with these stick figures?

Answer: I looked at it and it seems to be a graph-theoretical problem. Graph theory is a branch of mathematics dealing with figures that look like stick figures (which can be interpreted for example as streets connecting cities, and one tries to find the shortest way from one city to another). The exact problem is to give all the possible unique trees with 10 points, without redundant connections.
