Corrected entry: The scene where the popular kids hide Josie's car makes absolutely no sense. There's no way they would've been able to start the car without the keys, and the notion that a group of spoiled high school kids could figure out how to hot-wire a car seems highly unlikely.

Correction: Just because it seems highly unlikely doesn't mean that they couldn't do it. They might have known someone that could hot wire cars; there are many possibilities.
